Olympia woman ordained as state's 1st female priest

FTA: "The ordination is considered invalid by the Roman Catholic Church" "A 2008 Vatican decree automatically excommunicates women who attempt ordination and the people who attempt to ordain them." So not only is she not a Catholic Priest, she is not even a Catholic.  (Jun 8, 2012 | post #12)

Trayvon Martin - Olympia, WA

As more info comes in, it's looking like Zimmerman might be in the clear, legally. http://www.chicago tribune.com/news/l a-na-nn-trayvon-ma rtin-case-20120326 ,0,3121664.story No matter what the outcome, he's pretty much screwed. The media has all but tried and convicted him. The NBPP has put a bounty out on him. He'll have to live with what he did for the rest of his life.  (Mar 26, 2012 | post #1)

Details emerge in shooting near Lacey

1. Criticizing a stranger’s grammar on a public forum is poor form. Not everyone has the same level of education that you do. 2. This story is over 4 years old. Is it really that important to you?  (Mar 20, 2012 | post #4)

Gun Control - Tacoma, WA

The only people denied banned weapons are those who obey the law. Giving evil, violent criminals who ignore our laws a government guarantee that decent people are unarmed and defenseless is bad public policy. (Liberally plagarized from John Ross)  (Aug 12, 2011 | post #6)

Obama for America on the GOP Debate

Obama for America has an interesting web site (http://my.baracko bama.com/GOP-Debat e-Watch) where they "kept score" of the candidates' statements. It's interesting to read which policy positions OfA chose to demonstrate "that this whole group is way out of the mainstream." A few of my favorites: Ron Paul On Foreign Aid: “I’m still against foreign aid – for everybody… I used to describe [it]: ‘Foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor country.’” Newt Gingrich On the EPA: “I want to replace, not reform EPA, because the EPA is made up of self selected bureaucrats, who are anti-American jobs, anti-American business, anti-state government... " Michelle Bachmann On Medicare & Social Security: “What you have to do is keep faith with the people that are already in the system… But basically what we have to do is wean everybody else off.” That's really the best OfA can do? The Leftists are on the wrong side of history, the wrong side of economics, and the wrong side of liberty. They must be soundly defeated.  (Aug 12, 2011 | post #1)
