I am sorry. I apologize. I won't do it again. But one cannot take back comments on Topix, or I would.  (Oct 26, 2010 | post #15)

Nice try Sentinel and local law enforcement. Try to make marijuana sound dangerous right before the historic passage of Prop 19. Your pitiful selfish efforts will fail. Just Say Now! Vote Yes on Prop 19! Do it for Mom! Do it for American Freedom!  (Oct 23, 2010 | post #164)

Raids of San Jose pot dispensaries spur concern about law...

"There is a fundamental disconnect between what they understand the law to be and what the law is." Law Enforcement in the USA today suffers a fundamental disconnect with the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, and that is just peachy with almost every single one of our politicians. It is nothing other than a disgrace and a dishonor to those that have given their lives in the name of American Freedom. Narcs anywhere smear officers of the law everywhere. Stop the madness. Just Say Now and Vote Yes on Prop 19! Or stop talking about freedom, and stop using the word in the same sentence with the word 'American'. You know who you are.  (Oct 10, 2010 | post #9)

California Proposition 19: the Marijuana Legalization Ini...

Even if 53% are opposed to Prop 19, and 47% are for it (which isn't true - the majority favors it), then that would mean 53% think the other 47% should be in jail. No matter from which angle you look at it, marijuana prohibition is a BAD LAW. A free society does not have laws that attempt to criminalize up to half its members. That means ours is NOT a free society. Just Say Now and Vote Yes on Prop 19! Or stop talking about freedom, and stop using the word in the same sentence with the word 'American'. You know who you are.  (Oct 10, 2010 | post #206)

Altadena schools hit hard by PUSD consolidation plan

The closure of all these schools, and the unnecessary movement of Coombs, is emblematic of the problems facing schools throughout the USA. The problems have nothing to do with teachers or teachers' unions -- but they have everything to do with administrations. School administrations and administrators are corporatist and parasitic. Top administrators are overpaid by a factor of 2 to 5, and being overpaid as they are they always feel justified in having many underling minions. If administrators were chosen or elected by the teachers and the parents, instead of appointed from above by other administrators, it would be a far different story, and administrations would be focused on student education instead of self-perpetuation, empire-building, and profiteering.  (Oct 10, 2010 | post #6)

Cops and Courts: Sept. 23, 2010

All motorcycles "speed" much of the time. It is highly unlikely that the accident was caused by "speeding ". It is very likely that the accident was caused by another vehicle, such as a car or truck. He was probably side-swiped by an inattentive driver.  (Sep 23, 2010 | post #15)

WAMMfest celebrates 7th year at San Lorenzo Park

I need a marijuana card, but I don't have the money. I need the medication, but I don't have the money. Every dime I get right now from relatives, from part-time work, and from recycling cans goes to pay my basic living costs. I've got a hernia that needs to be repaired, and several other minor medical conditions, including depression. I've been told I need to go to Emeline Street and get in the various lines and ask for help. That makes me even more depressed.  (Sep 23, 2010 | post #17)

Gun reportedly pulled during Santa Cruz road rage incident

I'd like to issue the following plea to all Americans, and to all those who live in California: STOP PROMOTING A CULTURE OF VIOLENCE! Any form of violence or threat-making or intimidation is a violation of one or more criminal codes! Engaging in any of these behaviors makes you a criminal! A low-life! A person with no value to society!  (Sep 23, 2010 | post #1)
