2 Former Golf Club Pros Found Dead

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Two former local golf club professionals were found dead in an apartment on Saturday. Police said there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play, but they still don't know what caused their deaths. Casey Combs won the Kentucky State Amateur Golf Championship in June 2006. Just a few years before that, he was the resident golf professional at Wildwood Country Club in Louisville. Kenneth Postlewait later held the same post, and won the Kentucky PGA Match Play Championship in 1999. On Saturday, both men were found dead in an apartment off Taylorsville Road, and the causes of death remain a mystery. Homicide detectives are working the case, but they're calling it a death investigation. Police said they saw no obvious signs of trauma or foul play inside the apartment. They're waiting on autopsy and toxicology results from the medical examiner. Combs and Postlewait both leave legacies on the golf course, where they made names for themselves and competed in numerous tournaments. Combs was a native of Seymour, Ind., and owned Subway restaurants in the Louisville area.  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #1)

Shepherdsville attorney missing

Isn't this the second attorney from Shepherdsville to go missing within the last 24 months?? Seems like I recall the first one came back all of a sudden but he never told where he'd been. Sounds like something odd is going on in Bullitt. Bullitt County gets a bad rap for alot of crazy happenings, but the same stuff goes on everywhere. The TV news with Smith's wife was whack. She just didn't act quite right. The time frame she mentioned about how long she'd known her husband didn't add up considering they had a son who died several years ago. The son was killed in their home in Frankfort several years ago. Anybody know anything about that?  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #18)

His family is suffering, have a little sympathy Cal- are you the only one who is making sense of this and have a sincere heart? Thanks for both comments. I didn't know the man, but if you ever have a suicide in your family, you'll understand the difference in it not being the same as a natural death- there are so many unanswered questions- and the pain never goes away. About the other posters, they are young kids who have no cares, life for them is good, no worries, no respect for others. They remind me of the young people who hang out in the Walmart parking lot with their cars and trucks looking all tough and sh*t.  (Jan 14, 2011 | post #57)

Man charged after allegedly exposing himself to girls at ...

Thank goodness exposing himself was all he did- that's bad enough, but he is convicted felon - he's been on the Ky sex offenders registry since he was released from Eddyville several years ago. He's a very sick individual/  (Jan 13, 2011 | post #14)

Religion is like politics, everybody has an opinion. Much time has been wasted arguing about both subjects. We all have an opinion and we are always right, at least in our own minds. The bible is a book made up of stories to make us live as good people. Organized religion is about money. Amelia wrote above that this pastor is going to hell, yet she is going to pray for his family. I'll bet that makes his family very happy. Amelia, have you ever sinned? Do you think you are going to hell? No, you don't think anything you have ever done is that bad. You have an opinion of yourself, and it is quite good. Your parents, grandparents and Aunt Janie told you that if you kill yourself you are going to hell. We all like to interpret the bible like we want to. I did not know this man, but there was definitely something bothering him that caused him to do it. As a man of God, he believed and had accepted Jesus as his personal savior. I do not and will never believe that he is in hell. I am not religious by any means. I am spiritual. I believe in a higher power. I cannot just believe in myself. With that said, let's all make a great attempt to love our neighbors, and not just the ones who live next door. Love everyone. Give everyone a chance. Treat others as we want to be treated. Smile at a stranger in a store- it may be the only kindness they receive all day. We never know what is going on in others lives. Life is short. Take time out for some kindness.  (Jan 13, 2011 | post #21)

Guess what I seen today!

What's the world coming to??? Guess it's time you moved away. Please move away. How old are you and where did you go to school? Don't tell me you graduated from a school in Hardin County and you still say "Guess who I seen today." That is the most inappropriate use of the English language. And please tell us that you are a God fearing Christian from one of the fine churches here in this community. I cannot believe that you referred to a black person as an "it" and you also said "colored person." You are an idiot. I know there are a lot of idiots in this town, but some, unlike you, keep their stupid mouths shut. Go away, and fast.  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #2)

Woman says man accused of torturing cats got the animals ...

One of the news stories said he got some of them from someone on Facebook. I think the information that he got them off Craigslist is wrong. I am certain that you cannot offer Pets on Craigslist. Craigslist has its standards.  (Jan 2, 2011 | post #6)

Shepherdsville man arrested in cat killings investigation

hmmm...Courier Journal says he has no past criminal record- bet there's alot hiding in both his past and present. Remember the woman in England who put the guy's cat in the dumpster? At the time she was billed as the "most Hated Woman in Great Britain" - his guy is so much worse- hope the cops have checked out his house and his computer. He's a sick ticket.  (Dec 30, 2010 | post #4)

Radcliff woman found dead in Rineyville

***anyone know this lady??*** A Radcliff woman was found dead Sunday morning in Rineyville. Pamela A. Brown, 45, had left a party at a residence in the Lavista Estates subdivision on foot and hadn’t been seen for several hours, according to Kentucky State Police. Brown’s family attempted unsuccessfully to find her. Her body was discovered by the Rineyville Fire Department at about 9 a.m. Sunday, the day after Christmas, on the side of Rineyville School Road near its intersection with Fuller Road. The fire department received a call about a missing person at about 7:45 a.m., fire department Chief Shane Crutcher said. Brown had been missing for about seven hours at that point. Twelve firefighters took part in the search and Brown’s body was found about an hour later, Crutcher said. Foul play isn’t suspected, police said. An autopsy was performed. The cause of death hasn’t been determined, pending the return of toxicology reports, according to police. KSP spokesman Bruce Reeves said death because of exposure to the elements is suspected.  (Dec 28, 2010 | post #1)

more than one christmas tree

I saw the article in the local paper, and while I personally think it's about 29 more trees than I would like to have in my house, on the other hand I think it's rather cool- it's a hobby like any other hobby- and I'll bet this lady has more Christmas spirit than most- it's probably her favorite holiday. Don't knock her. It's her choice. Sorry to say I got way too busy and didn't even get my own up this year. I live alone so it didn't affect the feeling of any kids. I did get a wreath on the door tho.  (Dec 28, 2010 | post #11)

closet homosexuals in sonora

Oh do you?? Who gives a shit? In my job I deal with the public (locals of E-town)- I'm certain most are straight heteros and some are complete assholes. On this forum I'd rather dog them rather than than dog somebody who might be nice. I'm going to do a new topic regarding local pricks, both male and female- Coming soon.  (Dec 21, 2010 | post #4)
