Take a trip outside of Lewistown. Most places I visited over the last week are OVER $4 so I'm content if we stay at $3.99. Anyhow, that's the way it always is. On any given day I can find you gas prices in towns within 60 miles of Lewistown that are higher and ones that are lower, it works both ways. (Tuesday | post #83)
1 year old dies at local daycare
http://www.centred aily.com//news/sta te/story/703957.ht ml She covered the top of the playpen with a board and items to weigh it down because the kid was upset? Wow, just wow. Until all the facts come out completely its hard to point the finger but I can't fathom a situation where I would ever try to use weight to trap an infant in a playpen (cage). 1 year old dies at local daycare
I wasn't saying the daycare was involved, I was saying that I thought it was wrong to publish the daycare's name before the details were even released. Had the daycare not been responsible, the bad publicity alone could have ruined their business forever. Anyhow, its a sad story and I can't imagine being these parents or the lady running the daycare. There is nothing but sorrow in this story. :( (Wednesday Jul 9 | post #4)

1 year old dies at local daycare
Just heard this story on the news this morning. Its a very sad story but no cause of death has been released yet so I wonder why they had to name the owner of the daycare in the story unless they are certain she was responsible for the death? Either way my thoughts and prayers are with this family right now. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose your child. (Wednesday Jul 9 | post #1)

Three are arrested on drug charges: Men are picked up by the Mi...
That's what we've already said. There is no way to test accurately to see if you're "under the influence" of pot, only to see if you've used it in the last 30 days or so. (Jun 18, 2008 | post #243)
Three are arrested on drug charges: Men are picked up by the Mi...
Wrong. He provided a totally different point on this matter that had NEVER been brought up. I still think pot should be legal, but I see where not being able to measure it for things like DUI. You saying we already discussed not showing for work, etc. has nothing to do with the point he was making about measuring usage for things would be ILLEGAL to do under the influence of pot if it were to become legal. An employer now cannot blood test me for alcohol, so how is that any different? I just wanted to try and clear up my position on this. I don't fully understand why, but I've noticed homosexuals like yourself need things explained to them more than once before it sinks in. (Jun 6, 2008 | post #239)

This is the most sensible anti-legalization post I have ever seen. You raise a very valid point that I have never thought of before. Pot does effect your reflexes, etc. especially to a new/casual user. Thanks for letting me see this from a different perspective. (Jun 5, 2008 | post #235)
On a side note, Jeff Fisher's is not a place I'd recommend to anybody. Years ago we bought a brand new, self-propelled Aries mower from him and it was nothing but headaches. I'm not even exagerating when I tell you it was up there a minimum of 3-4 times EVERY summer, and anytime you took it up to him for repair you could be guaranteed it was going to be there for 2 weeks at the bare minimum (and that's if you were lucky). Anyhow, its a cheap $119 mower and I have a buddy who's a small engine mechanic that told me they're the best value for the dollar unless I want to spend hundreds for a push mower, so that's what I went with. (Jun 4, 2008 | post #5)
I just bought a new push mower this weekend, was a simple little 22" from wally world. (Jun 4, 2008 | post #2)
Can't wait to see who they appoint to replace him. I'm sure somebody old and of the same "no change for Lewistown" mindset that Berrier, Felmlee and Rager have. (May 29, 2008 | post #1)

Mifflin County Regional "Police" (and I use that term loosely)
Keep all of your contacts/requests to the MCRPD well documented. If anything should ever happen to either of you, you'll be able to sue the balls right off of those clowns. In the meantime, get a PFA issued against him so that if he violates it and they ignore you again, you'll have them for not upholding a court order as well. (May 22, 2008 | post #7)
