WOW, i bought my house in whalom for $225k, and the taxes are about $3800. estimated value is now about $195k and declining, yet my taxes are still going up. didn't know i was getting such a deal. more services = more traffic, more noise, more trash flying around, etc. the services are available to ALL residents (and non residents that dont pay the taxes), regardless of where in town you are. seems like a benson fan coining us with the term "they".  (Jul 27, 2010 | post #6)

wow, $215k for an apt (more-or-less), and over $300k for a 2 bed duplex. decent homes with more room can be purchased for less all over town. i agree that i'd rather this than the ghetto project.  (Jul 15, 2010 | post #6)

if you don't mind me asking, do you own, or rent, a house? if so, what is the approximate size? how much power do you use regularly? most important, what is your avg monthly bill? now ask that same question to residents that are REQUIRED to use unitil.  (Jul 13, 2010 | post #14)

??? i am pretty sure my taxes are for my land and my structures. there's no way i am paying almost 3800 for 1/2 acre max. therefore, the condo residents, both townhouse style and the garden style ones, should be paying taxes as well.  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #33)
