Unemployment is 10.2 percent with some people estimating the actual rate as high as 17.5 percent. Home foreclosures continue to climb. Gold is at an all-time high and the value of our dollar continues to drop. Iran races toward the atomic bomb and this week we learn Syria has restarted its atomic program. North Korea and Iran continue work on missile delivery systems while we stop deployment of our missile defense system. At least 12 members of Congress are under investigation, some for more than a year. This week we got a look at the coming health care rationing with government panels ruling on mammogram tests and Pap tests. The U.S. Postal Service needs three billion dollars to keep operating. The government run swine flu program is in meltdown. The national debt is 12 trillion dollars and next years estimate is 14 trillion dollars. As many as 30 states face bankruptcy. We continue to pass major legislation in the middle of the night with nobody even reading the bills.  (Yesterday | post #1)
