Titan, I am with you this fella when confronted with reasonable logic uses insults to counter. If we drilled and pumped more crude we would have to build refineries. I have heard it wouldn't take 10 years either. But even if it does, I would like to use this analogy. Kids go to school for it's use 18 years down the road. So to use this dopes logic we shouldn't send our children to school because the knowledge gained won't be used for almost two decades. Now doesn't that sound silly too??? (Wednesday | post #334)

As a matter of FACT the top 1% of wage earners pays 39% of the total taxes, the top 5% pay 54% of the total taxes, the top 10% pay 66% and the top 25% pay 84% of the total taxes. You have not a clue on how things work yet find it necessary to put your two cents in. The Parkways are handled by the NYSP but are within the confines of either Nassau or Suffolk Counties. I can speak on Nassau because I work there. When I was a patrol cop I was SENT to the Parkway on NUMEROUS occations to assist the NYSP with either traffic control due to lack of man power, to assist with aideds due to lack of man power and to drive the ambulance for the Troopers due to lack of man power. I speak upon my experience as a County Police Officer. And your experience would be what there Mr. F or F? (Tuesday Jul 15 | post #183)
