WELL is an idiotic troll. He said something similar in some other threads. He's just trying to get a rise out of anyone who will take the bait. Ignore this petty little punk. He's not worth the waist of time.  (Jul 21, 2008 | post #9)

Jesse Helms quotes on life and politics

OK, my apologies, I did not experience any of this amongst the people I choose surround myself with, so I admit was unaware. Such acts are reprehensible no matter what area of the political spectrum they come from. By the way, nice civil decorum...  (Jul 15, 2008 | post #11)

Jesse Helms quotes on life and politics

They demonstrate the depths to which modern liberals will sink. A sad example on the morals of many in our society today. By comparison, I think we can all agree that conservatives think of Ted Kennedy with nearly as much disdain, but when the man was stricken with life threatening illness, conservatives wished him well and prayed for him and his family. REBEL ROUSER, you sound like an old style southern Democrat. The kind my grandfather was a party to. Not the modern muck represented by the leadership Pelosi, Reed, Murtha, Durban and all the other Soros puppets.  (Jul 15, 2008 | post #9)

He will be missed. His successor has failed miserably in "taking his place". RIP. By the way, I like the screen name. I am also a proud practitioner and defender of our 2A right.  (Jul 15, 2008 | post #4)

County, ex-official settle for $650,000

Do you mean Tracy Kueler and Kim Rogers? If so, don't they take office after Novermber? Don't get me wrong. I don't have a lot faith in them making better decisions than the previous lot, only different decisions, just as bad. But I admit I can't know that until the get in and prove me right or wrong.  (Jul 15, 2008 | post #2)

Senate GOP blocks windfall taxes on Big Oil

Hmmm, where are the details of your analysis and solution, or is all you have to offer sarcasm and insults? Who's the lemming, the one that looks at details and forms and educated opinion, or the one who blindly follows a label that claims to be "the people's party"? Wake up!  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #206)

Senate GOP blocks windfall taxes on Big Oil

Thanks be to the Senate GOP. If you think your feeling the strain of high gas prices now, just imagine what it would be if you raised costs by raising taxes and stifling profits (the key motivation for efficiency of any business) on the companies that deliver us our gas. When the Dems took over Congress, they promised to do something about gas prices. Now we are seeing what they are trying to do....continue raising prices.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #205)

NW Wake toll road gets House nod

Hopefully there will be enough to delay on the one in Union County for those with more integrity to take over the State government and prevent it from being a toll road. We have nearly the highest State gas taxes in the U.S. There is absolutely no excuse for toll roads in N.C.  (Jun 12, 2008 | post #2)

NC teacher arrested for giving vitamins before testing

Hello to you. The fact that you take personal offense to something that was not directed at you personally puts you into the "victimized " crowd that the PC crowd survives through the protection of. No offense intendedI agree that teachers have no business subverting our decisions as parents, but I have to disagree that the occasional giving of candy, say during special events or class activities, to those who can have it and have permission of parents to do so is not exclusionary. It is simply illustrates a truth that the children will eventually face in there life as they grow. That truth is: life is not fair. Because a few can't have something for one reason or another is no reason to exclude it from all. That's exclusionary. Don't get me wrong. I'm not heartless. Since we are dealing with children, for those that can not have candy for whatever reason alternatives can be made available, such as a piece of fruit, a toy prize, etc. But to just say across the board, "teachers can't this" in the name of fairness, fits right in with the PC crowd agenda. The peanut allergy is a different discussion altogether, as this is a potentially fatal reaction.  (May 28, 2008 | post #11)

NC teacher arrested for giving vitamins before testing

I'm curious what everyone's opinion would be if the teacher had given all the students something healthy, like a piece of candy? I agree he should not have given them pills without parental consent, but criminal charges?!? How outrageous can the PC crowd get? Since we seem to be so willing to give murderers, rapists, child molesters, and the like a slap on the hand and a second chance; why not this guy?  (May 27, 2008 | post #9)

Split over Carolina heelsplitter

Don't forget the caribou. We don't even have to kill them. They would just have to take a slight deter to get to the same place. Kind of like asking the chicken to go to the cross walk.  (May 21, 2008 | post #2)

District 68 State House Election

I'm no related to Mr. Blackwood in any way that I know of. I am just energetic in monitoring the job of my elected public servants. As you can see above as well as additional correspondence not referenced, I have had some personal contact with Mr. Blackwood as well as have done my homework in checking out his voting record in his time in office. What part makes you think I am deluding myself?  (May 6, 2008 | post #10)

Dad Tasered 10-year-old Son

No need for apologies. Again I'm not bothered by any "news" you're breaking to me. But your comments do leave me with more questions for you: How do you presume to know who I am? Why did you think I was implying you should be afraid of me?  (May 6, 2008 | post #24)

You've not hurt me any. Are you afraid to answer my questions? If so, what are you afraid of? Were you abused as a child, yourself? Do you need help?  (May 5, 2008 | post #21)
