dirty cops...

Actually, I beg to differ. I was stopped because the officer said I wasn't wearing my seatbelt, when clearly I was when he pulled me over and walked up to my window. After arguing with him and being a Commercial driver with NO mind you NO tickets ever, even no overweight scale house tickets, he said to me, " We both know you weren't wearing one, but I'm going to let you off with a warning this time." I bet this is because the dashboard cam in his police car WILL SHOW I was wearing one when he pulled up behind me and pulled me over. Complete Baloney! Harassment of drivers is what it is, to meet their monthly quotas since this happened yesterday morning on my way to work.  (Aug 30, 2012 | post #35)

QUOTE who="believer "]<quoted text> Posting bible verses is not judging. It is an attempt to inform non-believers of the path they must take to become a Christian with eternal life. [/QUOTE] And who is to say "Besides a Christian GOD", that NOT taking the path to become Christian won't lead them to Eternal Life? Eternal Life is whatever a religion makes it to be. Eternal life can also be defined as a timeless existence, which is also not known for certain to be achievable, or even definable, despite millennia of arguments for eternity. The belief in an afterlife is a fundamental tenet of religions, however the concept of an immortal soul is not. The "soul" itself has different meanings and is not used in the same way in different religions and different denominations of a religion. Hinduism does not view homosexuality as a religious sin. Sikhism views on homosexuality tend not to be a primary concern in Sikh teachings, as the universal goal of a Sikh is to have no hate or animosity to any person, regardless of race, caste, color, creed, gender, or sex. I could go on and on but in the end only the GOD of what ever religion a person chooses will be their judge.  (Aug 30, 2012 | post #729)

The ADA states that each disability case is looked into. If a person with LUNG CANCER presents a case and this case prevents or makes it very hard for you to do everyday tasks, such as household chores, bathing, and brushing your teeth, this makes it a disability, alhough it must be permanent or long-term. Smoking is a choice. Homosexuality is not. This does not include the mass amount of individuals with Lung Cancer via other types of ways other than smoking. Some people are born with cancer, just as Gays and Lesbians are born being who they are. You can choose or be born with it. If a person decides to go out drinking for a night with friends and decides to drive home intoxicated, gets into an accident that paralyzes them for the rest of their life, they CHOSE their disability the moment they CHOSE to take those keys and drive drunk. If they hit another vehicle, injurying a helpless victim with their stupidity of driving drunk and that individual becomes disabled due to a lost limb etc.., they in turn don't have a choice. Christianity is also a choice. You are not born a Christian. You are baptized one. You choose to be a Christian. Or Metodist, Buddist, Hindu. But with that being said, American Rights cover this type of possible discrimination based on a religious belief. On the other hand being born half black and half white, but you claim a " white" status, you are also choosing your race. Even if you look 100% Black. Who is anyone to say a person is not White by just looking at their color? But if both parents were black, their children will be 100% black, so they have no choice. Who is to Judge? Not you, nor I. Not the next person walking down the street. The only "Being" that can judge a person is that persons GOD, regardless if they are Hindu, Christian, Methodist, Baptist, Buddist or whatever. Their GOD makes the decision. Also anyone spreading the word of GOD from a bible to a NON christian may be spreading the word but individuals don't have to adhere to that word being spread.  (Aug 30, 2012 | post #728)

And while on the subject of judging. Anyone of you that posts a "Bible" quote regarding homosexuality as a sin, and anyone who is gay is going to hell, Matthew 7:1-5 "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; Romans 14:1-23 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ... 1 Corinthians 4:1-21 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God. ... John 8:7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. But who here really is Christian, Catholic, Methodist, Baptist..etc..etc. . or any other religion judging a person for their own choice. Surely not those quoting the Scripture for which they themselves are breaking their own GOD's law of Judgement.  (Aug 25, 2012 | post #707)

A good American doesn't judge a person by their race, religion, sex, age, disability or sexuality. A GREAT American doesn't judge anyone at all. But then again, anyone who isn't a Christian is supposedly wrong, and if your not Catholic you will rot in hell. God forbid your a Hindu or even better Muslim! Holy crap your GAY! Wow!! You were born with no limbs! Even better mentally challenged! Holy hell your half black and white! Even better your Indonesian, White and Hispanic, Irish, Jewish, Scottish!!Let us not mention Native Americans!!! Your to old to work as a Walmart Greeter! Or to slow! So which are you? Mankind is at its best when it is most free. This will be clear if we grasp the principle of liberty. We must recall that the basic principle of liberty is freedom of choice, which saying many have on their lips but few in their minds. "Dante Alighieri "  (Aug 25, 2012 | post #706)
