another story to read Dog Examiner We are very sad to announce that Fay from the Missouri raid this year has died. She had been undergoing surgeries to correct her mouth where much of her lips had been missing. This had presented a myriad of health issues for Fay. Fay underwent her second surgery and all went very well. Unfortunately after the surgery sh...e went into cardiac arrest. All appropriate percautions had been taken prior to the surgery by the vet and truly nothing could have prevented this tragic event. There is no blame here, well, except toward the people who used her for dog fighting that ravaged her little body. Thank you to Gale at MuttsNStuff for your love, care and peace you gave to this beautiful angel. Thank you Dr. Marcy for you love and help you gave this wonderful girl. Thank you to HSMO for giving this sweet dog a chance. She touched the hearts and souls of many and will truly be missed. Animal abuse such as dogfighting, neglect and needless lack of simply caring for the animals that God made US in charge of needs to stop....now. The obvious evidence of abuse that Fay showed along with her courage in spite of it MUST give us a concept of what real courage and humanity is. It's sadly ironic to me that in this case as with many others it's the animal showing the human how they should be. Rest in peace beautiful Fay, you will forever be in our hearts.  (Dec 30, 2009 | post #30)

Sad news Hi It's with a heavy heart I say that Daisy is not among us any more. I hope her soul is in a better place and may it Rest In Peace. I tried to save her but failed. I posted ads, spread the message among different groups and even a chip in site was set up for her but to no avail.... What a Christmas Surprise..... what you think of this story poor dogs This sweet two year old American Bulldog and his playmate were lured into the yard of a neighbor in Elgin, SC. They were then trapped by a vehicle and used for target practice with a .38 gauge handgun. These are real bullets that just destroy everything in it’s path. His pitbull playmate was not as lucky. He was shot and then thrown over the fence to die. He had so many gun shot wounds that he had to be euthanized. The owner of Titan ran into the yard and saved Titan or he would also be dead. Titan is as sweet as can be, even with all his injuries, he just wants to give kisses. He has a radius/ulna fracture, a right tibia fracture and lost several toes on his right rear leg. According to the owner, the police were called and nothing was done to the neighbor. We are outraged by this and have an investigator with the SPCA seeing what he can do to go after these people. This sweet dog has a long road of surgery ahead of him to save his legs. He will remain at the surgical center for several weeks. Titan will not be going back to his owners. He has been signed over to us. Please, help us help him by donating. We are a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible.
