actually israel has taken most of everything except the west bank -jorden and gaza-egypt according to the british mandate and the war of 1948 While I do agree that the PLO has called for the destruction of israel, and they have suffered the most (besides the jews) the fact is that the Palestinians had no where to go and under the un resolutions egypt and jordan lost control over those lands (west bank and gaza) the palestinians were sent there insteadThough I have not looked into it and can't say the truth of this article:http://www .imemc.org/article /49356 i have read otherwise. http://www.kwtx.co m/nationalnews/hea dlines/37016139.ht ml though one article says that it contains weapons. you sure it was the arabs kicking themselves out? Or the israeli's kicking the arabs out, somehow I believe that politics were involved in this and the winners here are definitely the israelis who is to gain from leaving the land and giving it over to the jewish settlers who are in so desperate need of landyet again it says the amount of refugees displaced are about the same but again it's biased towards ARAB aggression. look up the war of 1948 Isrealies call it the war of independence. It doesn't mention how the israelis kicked their arses afterwards. Though I do have to say that the Arab aggression was uncalled for and they did deserve it at the time(the butt whooping) I also have to say that you claim this article is not biased yet it takes one side. If your not referring to the 1949 war then you must be thinking of the other peace treaties and disputes. 1967 arab forces blocked the red sea and it was ISRAEL who attacked. Though it was warranted so to speak isreal was the one who attacked. Though afterwards the WAR OF ATTRITION with egypt (was started by Egypt) came about. In 1981 isreal attacked Iraq. This is according to the bible so I don't know how much of it is true btw Philistine did treat them unfairly and persecuted them sometimesok you just skipped about 2000 years of history but yes they did do that. This post fails to mention the jewish plight and how they settled in other countries all but abandoning israel(before it was even called israel) also it seems that your time line is out of whack as ISRAEL was created after WWII. Let me also make a reminder that islam and the jewish faith were at peace for centuries, and until the "Declaration of israel" and the ousting of the palestine people there was no major conflicts. While I have not drawn any definite conclusions, I do so far think that it could effect us better than our currnet healthcare system. I have stated numerous times comparing our healt care system to others, how much we pay and what we get to others, the cost of drugs ect. While I have described the negatives of our current system I have yet to really see the positives of this new system, this reform as it hasn't even come out yet. Yet every topic I click on someone has got to say something bad, sometimes for pages about Obama, and what your responding to is exactly what I mean. I'd just like to say I haven't been in politics for a long time really towards bush's 2nd term I started readin up on it. Before tht I was always under the assumption (probably from the media) that the liberals were for less government control. If this is so I can see how bill would believe that Dems are becoming the new repubs. especailly since the republican's party is failing.
