Not sure anyone has a real legitimate chance but Martin. But thank God for Kurt; I've been wanting to see him win. He finally got her done. (Nov 9, 2009 | post #5)
And Loudon. (Nov 8, 2009 | post #20)
Do you love her for her racing? Or because she's hot and does GoDaddy commericals with her threatening to show her chest off. I'm not saying she's a bad thing. But NASCAR is about racing and I'm afraid all this hype is for her body and not racing and that NASCAR will become one sad joke because of it. She's growing on me, but not as a NASCAR driver. (Nov 8, 2009 | post #30)
She's running part time Nationwide next year and it'll most likely be with Earnhardt Racing (Nov 4, 2009 | post #8)
I 200 percent agree. And she could barely take a punch let alone throw one...especially at such a big guy like KB. (Nov 4, 2009 | post #7)
Are you going to enjoy watching all cameras on her next year? How about tons of interviews? Countless TV sports news channels obsessing over her? Not sure I am. Honey, you should try and win more than once in Indy before stepping up to something even harder. Franchitti (sp?) is the BOSS at Indy, and he was terrible when he tried NASCAR. Opinions? (Nov 4, 2009 | post #1)
Ahh...very true. Never thought of it that way. (Nov 4, 2009 | post #86)
Haha not so sure it's a word, but true. Very good point. However, let's remember, Petty is as humble as a successful driver can get...which might not be saying much, but still. He's pretty profound. (Nov 4, 2009 | post #56)
There's no need to get snappy about it. I never, have never and probably will never disagree with someone who claims Jimmie Johnson is a great driver. But like it or not, and however many wins he had in a season or in a row, Petty is for now and evermore, King. (Oct 27, 2009 | post #50)
I've also heard them compare Kyle Busch to Tiger Woods, too so it wouldn't surprise me. (Oct 27, 2009 | post #48)
I agree with you on best of the decade. Not sure about best of the century. Let's not forget Richard "The King" Petty, after all. JJ Fanatic. He didn't coin that nickname from loosing every race. (Oct 27, 2009 | post #70)
Denny Hamlin said that? And I believe it was the announcers and press that compared him to Tiger Woods. Johnson might be thinking that, but I doubt he'd say it aloud. (Oct 26, 2009 | post #41)
Sorry, wish I had one. If I did I'd send it. I heard it on a pre-race series on the Speed cable channel. The announcers were discussing notes on Charlotte and one of them was about the small consideration of renaming it for Johnson because nexy year Lowe's won't be sponsoring the track. I doubt they'll do it though, for obvious reasons. (Oct 25, 2009 | post #37)
Mmm...I agree with you about them considering renaming Charlotte after Johnson. It's a bit much, especially since he's still actually a driver. It'd be one thing to think about considering if he were retired but right now it's a little weird. (Oct 24, 2009 | post #35)
Very true; when I was at Loudon everyone around me was booing Johnson. I think people either have a chip on their shoulder for him from something he's done years ago, or they're just tired of the lack of variety in drivers in Victory Lane. (Oct 24, 2009 | post #16)
