Resolution or no resolution, I just can't believe all this jibberish I'm reading. I suppose the idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is just a fictional slogan here in the U.S. M.J.'s charges were dismissed. I'm sure if the 2005 allegations against him were true and not a way for some greedy folks to get their hands on some of his money, the case would have gone to trial. It's too bad that all the charitable good that Michael did for the world was not advertised in the media as greatly as the dirt. (Jul 9, 2009 | post #31)
The only "black hole" that I can see is all of the US tax dollars being wasted on a useless battle of the "War on Drugs". People are going to do the drugs whether they are legal or not. End the stupid war and use those tax dollars to rehabilitate those folks who want help getting off the drugs and get them back to being productive citizens rather than falsely labelling them as "criminals ". Leave prison cells available to murderers, thieves, and violent criminals. (Jul 1, 2009 | post #2)
Between Iran and N. Korea, we may be looking at a potential WWIII coming. Personally, I don't care what other countries think about the United States, I love this country and I don't ever plan on living anywhere else. Corruption has been in all governments since before I was born and I'm sure it will be there long after I'm gone. (Jun 19, 2009 | post #2)
[Randall] Terry says Tiller was "a mass murderer and horrifically, he reaped what he sowed." Wow. This Randall Terry is a real piece of work. First of all, he's all for inhibiting women from freedom of choice when it comes to their own bodies, and then he labels a doctor who was killed in such a violent manner. I am so tired of groups that force their beliefs on others. What do these guys want? Unregulated abortion like it was before it was legalized? Hide your clothes hangers... (Jun 1, 2009 | post #1)
Just because many citizens all over the world enjoy smoking marijuana, does not make them criminals. Emery knows this and he has put his own life and freedom on the line to fight for the right to enjoy smoking pot. Rodney Benson is so blindsided by marijuana propaganda that he can't see that marijuana is the key ingredient to the international peace-pipe shared by so many ordinary individuals. Those "holier than thou" folks need to leave well enough alone. They let their insecurities rule their common sense. Pot helps a lot more than it hurts. People with cancer can function with the help of pot whereas some of the fda-approved pain killers causes them to be bedridden. Pot helps these individuals gain an appetite while the alternative helps to suppress it. I am sick and tired of political conservatives trying to make life more difficult for the simple man, especially when he/she is sick. (May 18, 2009 | post #3)
I am no longer a Christian after being confused about the subject for a long time, not understanding why. These last few years, hearing about the Catholics, the FLDS, Ysreal Hawkins, David Keresh, etc, etc. Not only these flakes, but also all the wars and deaths and abuse of women in the name of religion. I was always taught that God was "love for one another" but in truth, man has used God and religion for his own purposes, including discriminating against those who have different ideas about life and living it. I agree that the laws pertaining to drugs in general should be reevaluated. It's about time that people with drug problems get help through rehab facilities and put the violent criminals in jail. While they are at it, maybe they can legalize marijuana. (Apr 29, 2009 | post #1)

I have no problems with living and working with people from Mexico. I do, however, think they should go through the proper channels to work here in the U.S. and pay taxes the same as a U.S. citizen would. I am saddened by this rejection of our neighbors. I hope that an agreement of some sort comes through on this trade issue. Fighting with our Hispanic neighbors is not healthy for either country. (Mar 19, 2009 | post #34)
What is it with the shoe throwing? I can bet that Saturday Night Live will have a skit about this new fad soon. (Feb 5, 2009 | post #1)
My sympathies go out to Summer Garas' family and friends. I've been reading about this tragedy on the local news site and I am glad that the jerk who did this is apprehended. May he get punished to the fullest extent of the law (death). The article called him a "big man". Well, he's a punk, really. If Durcho was a real man, he would have just gone to a bar after he was dumped by Summer and then start a fight with the biggest guy in there, but that isn't what he did, did he?! Better that they be given those kinds of pain meds that keep them bedridden instead, is that what those cancer patients should take? At least with marijuana they are able to take care of themselves, their homes and have an appetite. (Jan 15, 2009 | post #9)
It's no wonder Amsterdam booted out Bush. He won't even allow marijuana to be distributed to cancer patients, much less the average joe who wants a puff or two to relax with after a hard day's work. (Jan 15, 2009 | post #3)
If they really want some torture, how about, "Do you really want to hurt me" by Boy George. That should get under their skin. I know it does mine. (Dec 9, 2008 | post #2)
