Actually it's not yellow journalism. Just read the history on the Keating case and you will see who he is. There is just too much flip flopping by McCain and he is no straight talker. This whole election season has been dominated by the media and the pundits. Never did they discuss issues, but rather ridiculous things such as flag pins, a candidate drinking a beer, etc. They have spent way too much time on the mundane with Clinton and Obama. I agree. They do spend more on advertising than on research and development. Some of them have actually moved their headquarters out of the country so they can avoid paying federal taxes. It's interesting how in Mexico you can walk into a drug store and get many medicines without a prescription. I was in Cancun one year and had a sinus infection. I went to their pharmacy, told the pharmacist what was wrong and I got my antibiotics without having to go to a doctor and pay my $50 for him to tell me what I knew was wrong. Many elderly people here in Michigan go to Canada to get their prescriptions filled. Same medicine, just a lot cheaper than here in the U. S. (Tuesday May 6 | post #526)

It's not lawyers ripping off the insurance system, after all, they've been tort reformed to death. The insurance companies's profits and their high paid executives is what raises costs. And the out of control prescription drug costs raise insurance premiums as well. (Friday May 2 | post #471)
