It's the little things, like an 11¢ American Express balance on a corporate card that is now a $450 balance! Why should I have to pay $450 because the company I worked for was one day late in processing an expense report? Who ever that person is who is posting the rude shit, man, you can read my words in any tone you want, because they are just word. Maybe, you can understand that you are the one who is supplying the tone you hear in your head. I can understand why you could think I am bitching a little, because I am bitching I little. I don't know if I believe everything has to be fair, per se, but I believe in a minimum standard of human decency. Ask yourself, before you do something, what would happen if everyone in the whole world did what I am about to do? Think about it dude, why be obnoxious? Or, are you just drunk? That's cool.  (Jul 24, 2010 | post #31)

WOW! I just read all the comments. ...I thought I seemed like someone was posting under someone else's name. Thanks for all the replies. Like I said, I am moving to Cincinnati in order to work, I can't find work in Dayton. I go to labor ready (which is the same pay as mickie d's) and IF I worked for 6 days a week at labour ready (or McDonalds) and got 8 hour shifts all 6 days, it would reduce my unemployment payments by ½. Unemployment pays me aprox. $11 an hour and I can make $70 a week above. Every dollar I make about $70 reduces my check by one dollar. Because I was making $35 an hour, I would have to make $13 an hour before entirely losing my claim. For example, If I take an $11 an hour job, I will have the same dollar amount of benefits --- which I will receive at $50 a week instead of $400. That is what the unemployment is FOR, provides an opportunity to replace the job you lost. So, I work a few days at labor ready (which is not a long term solution) and sell my plasma (which hurts), which combined with my unemployment does pay my bills. So I am not too receptive to "get off the couch" comments because you obviously haven't been listening to what's being said (as some of us are NOT!), regarding the charging of late fees and distinguishing between what is essentially theft and usery versus someone "getting away" with something. All you are doing is letting me know what kind of person YOU are, ok? ...you don't know me, so how can you call me lazy? Did you serve in the 3rd Marine Division? Then SHUT YOUR FUCKING PIE HOLE! LOL. If you did, I was at Camp Courtney. And, shut your fucking pie hole. Lol. There are 11 dollar an hour jobs in Cincinnati and I would be happy to take one. But not in Dayton. For all the above reasons, I can't drive from Dayton to Cincinnati every day when 20% of the income generated goes to gas! So I move to where the work is. And I'm the lazy one! Asi es la vida! On the bankruptcy filing, I believe the filing fee is $400, comparable to a divorce filing fee. When I got divorced last year, I picked up the kit thinking I could do it. I am a computer network engineer. But that shit was contradictory, I swear, and I couldn't really understand the legal information in the package -- it said to do two different things! So, I paid the lawyer to do it! And the filing fee must be paid either way. I guess I am willing to read the bankruptcy package and see if it makes more sense than the divorce package! But, even without an attorney, you must pay the court a filing fee of aprox $400 (they just raised it again) to file for bankruptcy. On the upside, when I saw the finished product [the divorcee decree as prepared by my attorney and signed off on by the judge], I was able to relate back to original package and see, oh, THAT was what they meant. So, maybe I am ready to take that on, but the same old Catch-22 -- it would take me so long to prepare the paper work that time I am taking away from working / looking to work! So, for me, receiving unemployment has had the opposite effect -- I am MORE ready to produce something for this society which seems to (kinda) want to help me too!  (Jul 24, 2010 | post #30)

Jeremy] Thanks. My thinking is it would probably take me longer than 10 years to get even! Basically, I want to owe no one nothing, I am trying to get out of debt totally and never borrow again.  (Jul 22, 2010 | post #7)

Oh, on a related but unrelated topic, and the Ohio A/G hired the United Collection Bureau to collect my 2007 state taxes. Thing is, I didn't live in Ohio in 2007! I finally wrote to the A/G and they helped (a little). I think part of the problem is people have ways to screw a bunch of people a little at a time. The way they get away with it, is, a lot of people can't even explain what happened. Or else, when you say what happened it actually makes you sound crazy, even though it's true! Rather than just ignoring the unjust Landlord, the least I can do is send this information to the Dayton Daily News editor, and post it on Topix and what not. I really need an attorney. But if I had the money for an attorney then I would have the money to pay!  (Jul 22, 2010 | post #2)

Why I’m no longer a Christian

There is one simple reason I am not a Christian. God did not murder His Son on behalf of Salvation! Why, I never!  (Jul 22, 2010 | post #275687)

Prove there's a god.

If there is a God, may this conversation exist. Before I said it it was true. This proves I am God? Maybe God is another word for everything.  (Jul 22, 2010 | post #168171)
