Bible study rules for public schools proposed

If I leave you alone about my religious beliefs, why do you feel you must pester my kids in their school? Why can't you just let families make their own decisions about God? Isn't that, after all , what this country is about? Why should my tax dollars go to support a religion that I don't think my kids should be exposed to?  (Jan 11, 2013 | post #93926)

Obama-Marriage - Somerset, KY

The bottom line is this: The right for gays to marry does not infringe at all on my right to marry (or not). So, who cares? Where is the Constitutional grounds to forbid it?  (Jan 11, 2013 | post #1053)

Atheism requires as much faith as religion?

I am not mindless, nor do I exist as a "rock". It is just that I will believe science over mythology any day. The beauty of science is that it can say, "We don't have all the answers yet, but we are working on it." Religion says, "We have all the answers, and if you don't believe us, you will burn in hell."  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #147365)

Agreed, Aerobatty. I am neither "atheist " nor "religious " If someone could produce for me one iota of proof, not faith, that a God exists, I would convert.I keep on hearing that I lack "faith". Sorry, but I need evidence if I am going to change my life and bet my "soul" on the existence of a God.  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #147342)

Atheism requires as much faith as religion?

Darwinism: A theory based on all known scientific facts compiled by scientists up to this date, considered by all reputable thinkers as one of the crown jewels of human thought. The Bible: a hodge-podge of 5000 year old Middle Eastern mythology. Hmm. Which shall I believe?  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #147332)
