Maplewood / Sex offender from Michigan arrested

Is it really an accident when a coal mining company has a long history of excessive safety violations, spends millions contesting citations, influencing legislation, even buying its own judge of the West Virginia Supreme Court? Seems more like premeditated murder. As for LBJ's suggestion that neither the government nor unions have useful role in mine safety, I'd believe it more if he worked in a non-regulated, non-union coal mine. If he is right, that just leaves the mine owners to balance the need for profits with need for safety. The families of 29 miners just got a first hand lesson in how that works.  (Apr 10, 2010 | post #6)

68 Minnesota GOP lawmakers ask for health care lawsuit

I have several times read accusations that Congress somehow voted to exclude itself from the health care reform measures, but never seen any proof that this occurred. Could someone who believes that such a vote actually occurred provide some reference to support their position?  (Mar 23, 2010 | post #7)

Little Falls boat plant to close

Tom needs to be banned from the comment board for talking sense. I don't come here to read comments that have no reference to "obuumer " or "dictator hussaine." Tom may think his rational discussion may force us to stop and think, but his plan will never work.  (Feb 3, 2010 | post #9)

Moorhead bus driver accepts plea deal in fatal crash

Thanks for the added information, now I guess my comment is why was he the only one prosecuted. It would seem like the bus company would have known he was exceeding his allowable hours.  (Feb 2, 2010 | post #6)

Moorhead bus driver accepts plea deal in fatal crash

I question whether an accident like this requires prosecution. What is gained?  (Feb 2, 2010 | post #1)

UnitedHealth Group's fourth-quarter profit rises 30 percent

How many people over 65 does UHG have, a few, maybe. How many does Medicare have, all of them. Private insurers exist to collect premiums while its profitable and to hand off their customers to the government when they get older and sicker.  (Jan 21, 2010 | post #20)

UnitedHealth Group's fourth-quarter profit rises 30 percent

Keep your government hands off my Medicare and assume the position and say "Thank you sir, may I have another," each time your private insurer increases your premiums or denies you coverage. Its the American way.  (Jan 21, 2010 | post #5)

Edina doctor reprimanded for removing wrong kidney

I meant to say I was in Canada a few "weeks" ago. Truthfully, I just made the whole thing up, I haven't been there for years, but a post should not be missing a word.  (Jan 15, 2010 | post #19)

Quite right, I was in Canada a few ago and every one was dead. Every single Canadian. Guess they got what they deserved for being socialists.  (Jan 15, 2010 | post #18)

From the looks of them, most of the **** couldn't manage a one-stall pay toilet, but somehow the combined wisdom of their masses is going to get this country back on the rails. I doubt it.  (Jan 8, 2010 | post #5)
