Who will the Detroit Piston take in the 2009 NBA draft?

Belicheck is the only cheater out of them all. I wish he would of been banned from the NFL for life considering he cheated to win two and nobody knows about the third Super Bowl. Hell, Pete Rose got banned from baseball for life just for betting on games he said they would win but Belicheck doesn't get anything for what he did. Manning and Brees are by far the two best in the league, but to me #3, #4, and #5 are kind of hard to put in order because Roethlisberger has won two Super Bowls, McNabb hasn't won anything but he really hasn't got too much help being in Philly, and Carson Palmer has kind of fell off the last two years. I would of definitely taken the Jets D over the Patriots. They may of lost something by Rodney Harrison retiring and trading Ellis Hobbs, but they might of also gained something by trading Vrabel. They also may of traded Hobbs for the reasons you gave also.  (May 27, 2009 | post #31)

Even though I hate Bill Belichick as much as I do, there are a lot fatter coaches in the NFL than him. I don't see how anyone can put Tom "Pretty Boy" Brady in the top 5 QB's in the league. My top 5 QB's in the league right now and I definitely put ahead of him would have to be Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger, and Donovan McNabb. About Trent Dilfer, I don't think he was overrated at all when his career was over. He was coming into the league, but not going out. The Patsies defense is kind of overrated and it's success did benifit from an easy schedule. The thing I don't get about them is why they traded away Ellis Hobbs and let Asante Samuel go without even trying to resign him. Especially when he just cracked the top 5 corners in the league and some were saying the best. The only reason I don't think Blake Griffin is or will be injury prone is because he never really had any serious injuries in college. The injuries that he had were just nicks and bruises that happen in the season.  (May 24, 2009 | post #29)

Report: Minnesota Vikings' Brad Childress, QB Brett Favre...

Just to let you know Jerry Rice never signed with Kansas City. He signed with Denver and then retired because they were going to use him as a #4 reciever and he wanted to be at least a #3. Jordan was still averaging 20+ ppg when he was in Washington. There's pretty decent players in the NBA who don't even get that in their prime. Dan Marino only played one season that he was starting to show he didn't have it anymore. Weren't the Packers in a NFC Championship game a few years and almost won it because of Brett Favre? Didn't the Jets become a playoff contender team and won 5 more games than compared to what they did the year before without Brett Favre? I'm getting annoyed as anyone by Brett Favre not being able to figure out if he wants play football or retire because he has done this the past five years now, but if he can play, he can play and I think he might still have something to give.  (May 21, 2009 | post #226)

I just have to ask, who the fat bastard is that they have of a coach? I think Tom Brady is a good QB, but not near what everybody makes him out to be. Some people put him in the top 5 of all time and top 2 in the league right now, but he's nowhere even close to that. Like I said, I can't even put him in the top 5 right now let alone of all time. And Trent Dilfer is in no way overrated. He was overrated coming into the league, but when looking at his career, he was as good as he gets credit for. Griffin did have a small injury during March Madness like Oden, but when I said Oden was already injury prone coming into the league, I mean't the knee surgery that he had to have before his rookie year even started. Portland knew he would need the surgery and it could effect his status for his rookie season before they drafted him. I said that taking him over Durant would be a huge mistake at the time and now it's starting to show. I was really rooting for Oden just because I root for almost everybody who comes out of the state of Indiana. Hell, I even root for former Purdue players in the pro's when I'm an IU fan.  (May 20, 2009 | post #27)

Michael Jordan was still averaging 20+ ppg those last two years he played in Washington, Jerry Rice was a #3 reciever to me those last two years in Oakland and Seattle, and Dan Marino only tried to play one more year after he didn't have it. But in no way did they tarnish their careers by doing this. Sorry, but I think that Brett Favre still has a little bit to give and is still better than a lot of players in the league. Most people would kill just to be as good as he is now. No, he's not in the top 10 QB's in the league anymore, but he's still better than half of them.  (May 20, 2009 | post #224)

How did any of those tarnish their careers by playing when they were no longer what they used to be? Hell, even at the end of their careers, they were still better than most in the league.  (May 20, 2009 | post #221)

Who will the Detroit Piston take in the 2009 NBA draft?

1. Jordan wasn't just the face of sports in Indiana, but the face of sports all around the country. Hell, I remember going to Texas a couple of times back in the 90's and seeing people with Bulls hats and Jordan jersey's on. 2. The Pistons are done winnning for a while because of the facts that you said. To me, they should keep Stuckey, Afflalo, and either rebuild around or trade Tayshaun Prince. Rasheed Wallace and Rip Hamilton are getting old and should be traded while they still have some value left in them. 3. I really do hope the Yankees and Pattycakes are done for a while because I hate both of them. The Yankees just because they try to buy their championships and I for some reason the Patysies have always been my most hated team in the NFl. I hope Moss goes to another team and gets his ring. As for that little pretty boy that they call a quarterback, hopefully he breaks his leg again and it forces him to retire. He just seems like a cocky little bitch to me. Example of that would be him laughing at and thinking Plaxico Burress was ridiculously stupid for predicting them to only score 17 points in Super Bowl XXXL111 and then they didn't even score that much. Brady is the most overrated QB in the league and maybe of all time. I can't even put him the top 5 QB's in the league. 4. As for Blake Griffin, I liked him a lot in college and that was why I picked Oklahoma to win it all in The Big Dance. He probably is the best prospect coming out of college since Duncan and may even be the next Tim Duncan in the NBA. That's saying a lot considering I think Tim Duncan is the best big man in the league. The only reason I think he is the best is because Dwight Howard is the only one I can compare him to skill wise and Duncan is the much better shooter. But anyway, Griffin is going to be a lot better than Greg Oden because Oden was already injury prone coming into the league.  (May 19, 2009 | post #24)

I have just always considered the Spurs my second team behind the Bulls just because I liked them in 98' and was really rooting for them to win it in 99'. So yes, I did kind of jump on the bandwagon a little bit. As for their current bench, they still have Finley but he's not what he used to be though. As for the rest of it, they had Ginobli coming off as the sixth man, plus Drew Gooden who I hope they bring back, Oberto and Kurt Thomas are good defenders, and George Hill might actually be something good. Sorry, but the Pacers in no way deserved a championship in 05' if you ask me. I have nothing against them, but I didn't think they anywhere near the talent as the Spurs and Pistons that year. To me, O'Neal and Artest made that team what it was, which was decent. We all know that the Pistons championship are done and over with for a while. They just need to blow that whole team up except for Afflalo and Stuckey. I don't know if the Yankees are done winning, especially after the money they spent in the offseason. And I really do hope the Patriots are done. As for the draft, it will interesting to see who gets Blake Griffin.  (May 19, 2009 | post #22)

Chicago White Sox bench Josh Fields

Do you not realize that some players struggle at first in the big leagues? Not everybody can be "The Man" at first like Alexie.  (May 16, 2009 | post #8)

How high were you when you posted this? Nix at third? Ramirez in center field? Bring up Allen? Dude seriously, lay off the crack and put down the bong because it's pretty obvious that it is starting to show signs of dumbism. Yes, I said it, DUMBISM.  (May 16, 2009 | post #6)

Lakers bounce back with win in physical Game 2

That's because Ron Artest is a bad motherf**ker. I don't care too much for his attitude, but I do like the way that he plays. He would be a great fit in Detroit even with his history there because of the brawl at The Palace back in 05'.  (May 7, 2009 | post #33)

Lakers bounce back with win in physical Game 2

Wow, Ron Artest gets booted from the game for confronting him, but Kobe doesn't get anything for throwing an elbow? Well, that's Joey Crawford's officiating for ya. Anybody remember him tossing Duncan out of a game for no apparent reason or the numerous no-calls in the series match up between the Spurs and Lakers last year? Anyone know who was reffing in that game by any chance? I think his name was Joey Crawford. I think Kobe might be letting him go down on him for not making all the calls that should be made. Looks like Kobe cheating again.  (May 7, 2009 | post #29)

Vikings court Houshmandzadeh; no decision to be made Sund...

Yes, Chilly and Favre are supposed to meat today and tomorrow. For as much as I have supported T-Jack, I can't say that I'm opposed to us getting Favre. I have never really hated him even when he was a Fudge Packer. Hell, I actually rooted for him in that against Oakland back in 03' after the death of his father even though it hurt us in the standings.  (May 6, 2009 | post #156)
