No, Rose and approx. 18,000 other couples from California have a State issued "Marriage Lic." That make it legal. Then there are other States still issuing "Marriage Lic." to GLBTQ people all over the Country, that make tem legal. Porterville is now a "city" of 50,000+. We have more than our fair share of knuckle dragers; but, all in all not a bad place to live. My husband and I were there first male couple in Tulare County to get married in June 2008. Just like any other place we take 2 steps forward 1 backward. Feds again nix health care for gay worker's wife

IMO The only way to get their (Office of Personel Management [OPM]) attention is to start putting the bosses in jail for contemt. The "Judge" has issued a ruling in the matter, OPM then, basically said we're not going to comply, then the judge issued an order tell them to not interfear with the orders of the Court. That is why in this case I used "christian " in quotation marks and with a lower case "c". It has been my experience that there are basically 2 kinds. "Christians " are those who are so busy going about doing good and helping their fellow "man that they don't have time to tell you how "good" they are.
