Boorasky has got to go!

I personally hate him, but you might be surprised how often he stands up for you even if he don't like you.  (Apr 17, 2014 | post #5)

The problem with a region strong in it's history is that you never hear about anything until it is history.  (Dec 31, 2013 | post #1)

Should Pahrump become a Tourist Destination

Now that is the Nevada I Love. Independent people who don't give a blank what others think of them. And talk about commerce, that act would put Pahrump on the map, News would have a field day and people would come to watch. Only how would you keep the weight if your peddling off the pounds? Wouldn't you inevitably become a bunch of naked skinny women riding bikes to be ridiculed for being sexy?  (Dec 31, 2013 | post #11)

Pahrump Shuttle

Glad to see the effort But: 1) How many Pahrump Residents have a computer? 2) How many Pahrump Residents have internet? 3) Why on earth would anyone use PayPal, I even know a Deputy Sheriff who has been ripped off by them, they are thieves, period.  (Jun 25, 2013 | post #7)

Officials mull utility purchase today

I have mixed feelings. I have not seen anything good come of a public utility anywhere, and our local government does not instill feelings of trust or merit, but Utilities Inc is the worst I've seen yet. I would rather see competition.  (May 18, 2013 | post #1)

Peeping Tom Alert

I didn't think there was anything in town worth peeping at? But as this is Pahrump, it was probably just some tweaker looking to rob you, seeing what they could grab for their next fix. Best advice: Just glue a twenty dollar bill to a rat trap and see what you catch.  (May 15, 2013 | post #5)

Positive Pahrump Starts Her Jihad Against RV Parks.

I concur, the more the merrier. More business means more jobs, and more visitors means more people spending money at our businesses. In this 300 square mile town, I think a hundred parks might be enough. But I do not understand why our politicians would be against any business, seeing that such brings more tax money, money that they have already irresponsibly spent.  (May 15, 2013 | post #6)

what about a small movie theater in pahrump?

Would love a nice theater, one that didn't show naught but reruns. But Pahrump has a serious lack of jobs which equates to a low expendable income which is what a theater depends on. Love to see you open, hate to see you fail.  (May 15, 2013 | post #30)

Town tax rate to tick upwards again

Don't know Gnads, toss me a link and I'll look. I remember conversations better than I do names of the board.  (May 4, 2013 | post #13)

State officials blast county on audit

And why isn't anyone in Jail for this? If there is no consequences for breaking the laws, then why do we even have the law? Just let everybody spend whatever they want to spend and figure how to pay for it whenever they feel like it; at the cost of the Tax Payer, of course. Of course we could just give line / item veto for every law on the books, and put them all on the ballot. I'd bet the voters can fix the budget real quick.  (May 4, 2013 | post #1)

Town tax rate to tick upwards again

Ya, they can't manage the money they already take, so they need more. Property values are plummeting, so they need a raise to even keep up with their current financial follies. The solution is as always, gvt needs to attract business, not impede it, not research it, attract it. Business brings jobs which gives people taxable spending money, and jobs make Pahrump attractive, hence raising property values, etc. etc.  (Apr 29, 2013 | post #8)
