Brookhaven cracks down on eyesore in Mastic

Robert King and Gino Giardini are Absentee Landlords , looking to make a quick buck. Legally they are both responsible for the upkeep of the house , and for paying the necessary taxes. They also legally obligated to obtain all necessary permits for all work and alterations to the house. Now that they were caught , they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  (Jun 18, 2009 | post #107)

U.S. Open officials hope to resume play after 1:30

The 1st Round was started despite forecasts that it would rain heavily most of the day. But they started anyway , got the fans money. Then postponed the 1st Round , kept the fans money. Now they'll collect more money from fans to see the same 1st Round. Fans from today have lost their money they paid for today. I f they want to see the 1st Round when it resumes will have to pay again.  (Jun 18, 2009 | post #7)

And they add NOTHING to the surrounding communities. From a business stand point , this will be as much a failure for local businesses as it was the last time here. Its just not worth it. Local Businesses just cannot count on The US Open for anything. It would better if the US Open stayed away from Long Island.  (Jun 18, 2009 | post #4)
