New Rochelle

The irony of that video is that just about all those postcard pictures of yesteryear show places that are still totally in tact and recognizable, as the bullshit song laments "the wreck that once was New Rochelle". New Rochelle is doing just fine, and that hyperbole-laced dirge is just some hayseed who's sorry that New Rochelle isn't as... I don't know... White as it used to be? Big deal. There are still boats in the harbor and plenty of happy and well-to-do folks living throughout the city. Listening to that tune, you'd think that wild packs of hyenas roam the tumbleweed-strewn ruins of a ghost town. Nonsense.  (Jan 7, 2012 | post #2976)

I drop in from time to time, just in case I need to put some more racist low-life types in check.  (Dec 23, 2011 | post #1377)

I think you have him confused with someone else. I've never met a gay guy as ignorant, bigmouthed and unsympathetic as this tool.  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #1336)

This is the quote of the year, as far as I'm concerned. Well put, Miss.  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #1331)

Right. And how come he's flaunting his Irish heritage, when we all know full well that REAL Irishmen are Catholics. Why isn't he "100 % American"? Isn't that what these racist tits claim? That if you you hyphenate your nationality, that you're not a real American? It's fools like this that make the rest of the world laugh at us. GWBush type cowboys that feel the sun rises and sets over their proud little mud pile of a town.  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #1323)

Don't f*** up your point by saying something equally annoying, Stallion. I'm Irish-American, and I've had to stop a couple of beatings that guys I knew were serving up to their GF's... All Italian! But I wouldn't blame it on their lineage! Why be like these racists?  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #1315)

Your answer was fine. At least you acknowledge that you empathize with the black man. Whether you know it or not, that's what you confessed (by implication). I'll happily answer your question. I'm not concerned about whether you DISLIKE someone because of their race (although I can't really relate). The concern is that you try to endorse the systematic denial of basic rights to a select group of people, while fully expecting a complete complement of rights for yourself (and your "race"). I'm trying to accomplish exactly the same thing as you. You're espousing your opinion here, and I'm doing the same. Do you imagine that, because you're convinced that you're right, that you're the one who must "defend" , while others attack, and that liberal people should just "leave you be"? We're defending OUR position, just like you. What's so confusing?  (Dec 17, 2011 | post #1308)

When the law is unjust, yes. The patriots of the US Revolution broke King George III's laws, too. Do you pity someone who considers them heroes? I don't expect you to see the comparison, because you're a gross racist pig who believes that the subjugation of US citizens, in their own towns and cities, was all that they deserved, being sub-human and all. Frankly, I can't even believe that people like you still exist. One thing's for certain; the mechanism of humanity is slowly and systematically weeding out your ilk. You don't want to believe it, and the idea keeps you up at night, no doubt. Let me ask you a simple question. If the roles were reversed, and it was YOUR people who were forced to sit in the back of a bus, drink from a different water fountain, eat @ a different lunch counter.... And if you dared not get up when a black man ordered you from your seat, it was perfectly acceptable for the sheriff (or even a fellow townie) to grab you by the hair and forcibly toss you to the street, wouldn't you fight? Resist? Get angry? Fighting mad? Wouldn't you say it was wrong? If you don't answer that question, honestly and promptly, then you're not here for civil discourse, and you should fu**'ing VANISH.  (Dec 17, 2011 | post #1302)

Ah. That is he key phrase. They expect and DESERVE to be treated EXACTLY the same as any white man. And you're living in a place, mentally, that hasn't gotten the memo. But we say WAKE UP, racist.  (Dec 17, 2011 | post #1223)

Right, but when he was accused of the same tactics with the switch from "Virginia Jim" to "Slewfoot Jim", he readily admitted to it. Why change his tactics now? Denying such a thing doesn't seem like his M.O.  (Dec 16, 2011 | post #1106)
