DOES "BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP" STAND on QUESTIONABLE LEGAL...

Iread somewhere a couple of decades ago that the peoples we call American Indians came across the Bering Sea land bridge before it became submerged. It was estimated this occurred some 30,000 years ago. They were thought to have trekked all the way down to Chile. Perhaps, there is no one who can lay claim to North or South America.  (Aug 24, 2015 | post #11)

Will Hillary capture the White House or Jail?

I'm concerned Owebama will grant her a pardon if Congress can get her convicted of a crime before he leaves office. It would be pitiful to see her only punishment as being the loss of the Democrat nomination for President.  (Aug 19, 2015 | post #52)

Did everyone on Topix disappear?

About 200 people attended the TOOP meeting last Thursday and, we received some very good information from Representative Jim Jordan. For the low-information voters out there, Jim represents our area in the US House of Representatives.  (Aug 19, 2015 | post #60)

us economy shrinks 2.9%-how will topix libs defend the in...

Any person who would write the following (That leaves me with only one conclusion about you, your not very bright yourself) in a sentence has no right to question the intelligence of anyone. In case you can't understand what I mean, you have not, in the past few posts I have read, used the word "you're" instead you have incorrectly used the word "your". In another post, you used the word "capably " where "capable " would have been correct. For future posts, please don't infer someone to be "stupid" until you get some mre edumacation for yourself. Oh, and by the way, you stated you hadn't mentioned anything about the economy. Why then, would post anything on a topic about the economy ? I am truly blinded by your brilliance.  (Jun 30, 2014 | post #56)

Who do you support for U.S. Senate in Ohio in 2010?

People with law degrees are to be excluded from running for office. Most of our members of the House and Senate are lawyers. You can see what that has done for us ! In addition to jacking their wages up to $176.000/yr, they can't get anything done. Speaking of wages, their wages should be no higher than the average wage earned by their constituients, government wage earners are to be excluded from the calculation for "average wage". To get their current wages up to the $176,000, they said a wage in that neighborhood would attract the "best and brightest" people to run for office. Once again, you can see what that has done for us.  (Jun 30, 2014 | post #3115)

Old timers

Do a search for either Knowlton Construction Company or, Knowlton Polled Herefords to see if these families may be associated with the party in question. Hope this helps.  (Jun 30, 2014 | post #238)

Old timers

In my opinion, if the downtown Bellefontaine merchants would be open from 9 AM to 10 PM and, form a collective for buying the items they sell so they had more with which to bargain, they could better compete with the likes of WalMart and be able to stay in business for the long term. Additionally, if the merchants would have employees available in their various departments to assist/sell customers, they would be offering a value-added service WalMart doesn't provide. And, by all means, advertise, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE the value-added services. Merchants who are not restaurants could help steer customers to restaurants and, restaurant wait-staff could return the favor by steering customers to the various restaurants. These tips could go a long way toward revitalizing Downtown Bellefontaine and, strongly competing with WalMart. In addition, if the City would build a multi-story parking garage or two, they could also help Downtown revitalize itself. Too many people today are spoiled and, if they can easily find parking so they can patronize the Downtown merchants, the attempt to revitalize will fail. Another thing that would help would be to build a couple of multi-story apartment/condos in conjunction with parking garages to provide living quarters for downtown workers. For those buildings downtown that currently have vacant space above street level, the owner could invest in updating/remodelin g those spaces to either living quarters or office space or, both. The cost could probably be recouped in less than ten years.  (Jun 30, 2014 | post #237)
