Suspected drunken driving stop ends with drug arrest

Like Will said, the boys are loved and well taken care of. Will does what he can and what is best for his children, that should be the end of the conversation. We are talking about two innocent children that should not be discussed on the internet, always think about if the shoe was on the other foot. This thread is about Brittany, and everything that has been said is absolutely true. Sad, but true. I don't believe in "bashing " people, especially on the internet. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."  (Dec 1, 2009 | post #34)

Two charged for drugs in Knox County

Lol...no, this is just something that I know about first hand and felt I should inform people about. As you can tell, besides this thread, I haven't posted in any others except the one about sheriff. And I even stopped posting in there.  (Nov 24, 2009 | post #13)

What kind of sheriff does bath co. needs

Someone asked a question, yes I copied and pasted from another website, this is not word for word from the Bath County job description...this is an overview, there is a difference. Never once did I say-"this is what I am going to do." I am not going to advertise on Topix, allowing my ideas to be taken by another candidate. I want to meet people face to face, the way a real candidate should. And yes, it sounds like you do know a little something about the law, or at least act like you do. Why not throw your name into the hat?  (Nov 17, 2009 | post #47)

Basic academy, no. You have up to one year to be sent to the academy and unfortunately I was only sent to my physical and PHASE testing. PHASE testing is the first part of basic academy training, and I passed without problem. No, I was not a bailiff out serving warrants...I was a Deputy Sheriff who preformed bailiff duties every now and then which involved standing in the courtroom, transporting inmates to the courtroom, etc... Tuffy is an elected official, and I love the guy to death, he is a great man. His deputies are good people too, with no prior training. They both have up to a year, same as me, to be sent to the academy. Some, if not most, counties will hire deputies for that year, then let them go and hire new people to save on the cost of sending anyone to the academy. It's sad, but it's true. I used to post under j_mackey prior to this, yes that is true, but how can you knock anyone for having a nickname? Tuffy, Fuzzy, Lefty, Bubba, who cares? The nickname was given to me by a lady I once helped a long time ago, I had no idea why until she finally told me...I had never heard of the Shield until then and that's when I started watching it (in 2007) two years after opening Strike Force. Who cares? And yes I did answer you, in the old Strike Force thread I believe. Thank you to whoever posted above me. I really appreciate your kind words and I will go for this office and hopefully I will get it. Then things will get better in this county, I can guarantee that.  (Nov 16, 2009 | post #32)

This is James Smith. No, I do not post under random names, never have. As for the question you asked about how long I was a deputy, etc...I answered that question a long time ago. To refresh your memory I was a deputy sheriff for six months. In that time I attended, and passed, all of my physical and PHASE testing. I arrested thirteen people, most on drug charges. I was a deputy sheriff in the city of Pikeville, which is almost as big as the entire county of Bath. I also performed Bailiff duties as well, and transported several inmates to other facilities. I moved back to Bath County for personal, family reasons. As far as Strike Force goes...Strike Force was founded in 2005 and has absolutely nothing to do with "The Shield" on FX NETWORKS. I know this show, have watched it since the fourth season, in 2007, when it was brought to my attention. Sorry, but no- I will agree it is somewhat of a coincidence that Strike Force Security and the fictional Strike Team have but one similarity-the word "strike" . I am not going to campaign on topix, so no need to put a little "spam" icon on this post. I do appreciate what some of you have said and I look forward to meeting and talking with you all. Call Sign BS, if you have any more questions, I would be glad to answer them, but I already did a long time ago when you asked the first time.  (Nov 14, 2009 | post #25)
