We gather together ... to thank Maitland police for handi...

If you've noticed, they do this sort of thing at most major holidays. So it's not an end of the year thing, just a busy travel time sort of thing. When are people going to take responsibility for their actions. You speed, you get caught, you get a ticket. Simple.  (Dec 26, 2007 | post #91)

I don't think they are allowed to move the truck unless both guards are in the truck. Let them do their job. Ever think that it's the store's fault for their time in the parking lot?! Just let people do their job and quit complaining. My aunt works for one of those armor truck companies and they put in LONG hours. You try starting your day at 3:30 a.m. and not get home until 7:00 p.m. Just sayin'...  (Dec 26, 2007 | post #90)

Thanks for the lovely parting gifts — especially those ...

"Thanks, Orlando, for your invitation to the drum band program — and then the $22 parking fine on Rosalind Avenue and Pine Street for my 3:45-5:15 p.m. visit. I checked six autos behind me. All six meters were flashing red. Yet I saw signs that said two-hour parking 4-6 p.m. Did you put those signs up just for the band program? What kind of signs do you put up for the rest of the days? Why not put up signs "feed the meters 24-7"? No wonder so many residents hate Orlando/Orange. " I could be wrong, but I don't think those signs meant FREE 2 hour parking. It just means you can only park there for 2 hours but still have to feed the meter. If it were free parking, the parking meters would have been covered. Again, I could be wrong...  (Dec 26, 2007 | post #2)

Home is where the headache is

You must have missed the memo that you are never responsible for your own actions. ha ha However, in these people's defense, you never know what has caused them to get this far behind.  (Oct 16, 2007 | post #3)

Hey, Slim -- what's up with the weight belt?

Ever called your insurance company? They still use your social for verification purposes. When the claim is filed, your SSN goes along w/it to prevent fraud.  (Sep 26, 2007 | post #28)

Hey, Slim -- what's up with the weight belt?

"Why on earth do physicians still require Social Security numbers in their patients files?" So they can file your insurance claim silly. Unless of course you want to pay the bill.  (Sep 18, 2007 | post #6)

Stealing dog's ashes was a Chip shot --

"I'm disgusted that the burglars who broke into my house in Peppermill stole my cremated dog in a brown oak box that had a gold nameplate that says Chip. It wasn't a jewelry box! Return my dog to my doorstep or mailbox." Lately people will steal anything. I hope you get your dog back. Some things just can't be replaced. :(  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #17)
