Vinson's Death Ruled Suicide

The lawyer for the Baker kid is already claiming the ruling doesn't make sense. Even though this follows the story his client gave to police. "``At this point, it's still questionable. I don't buy the suicide route,'' said attorney Eddie Sipplen, who represents Baker." Just goes to show it was a disgraceful waste of monay and resources. Many on this board called it when they said that second ruling would be disputed as more cover up if it confirmed the first ruling. Let it begin.  (Jul 19, 2007 | post #2)

Heinous acts of docs punished

No, this is about as complex as Dyer can handle. If it were a real story, his 729 editors would have given it to a real journalist.  (Jul 17, 2007 | post #18)

Ohio still plays lottery shell game

Every one would pay there share... except the retirees, they would get their money for personal use... that's fair. no income tax on pensions, just sales tax... wait are you retired oldmangrump?...you are??...so you are looking out for your own interests...are you a congressman too? personal interest, special interest... that is a fair and equitable funding solution. My money is taxed twice and yours only once...perfect, sign me up!  (Jul 9, 2007 | post #6)

Justices to hear arguments on traffic cameras

Precisely the point, "You" may not be doing anything wrong, but someone that drives your vehicle may and then "you" become responcible for their actions. The same holds true for company vehicles. The employer pays for the employees mistake.  (Jul 5, 2007 | post #19)

Police union proposes tax hike to hire officers

Pass this tax and somewhere down the line, the generl fund expenditure for the police force will be rreduced because of this ear marked money specifically for the Police. Remember the Lottery and school funding??  (Jul 3, 2007 | post #26)

Murder details still secret

Why should the public be informed??? Twelve will be informed as to what happened. Maybe they are not releasing the information in hopes of not tainting the jury pool any more than what it already is. The more they leak the info the more time the defense has to prepare against it.  (Jul 3, 2007 | post #72)

Vote `yes' to preserve `AY-kron'

I am glad my City Income tax is only 1%. The City seems to provide pretty good services as well. Low violence, rarely any drive by shootings.  (May 7, 2007 | post #95)

Sobriety checkpoint nets six DUI arrests

They would just arrest you for obstruction of justice or interferring with official police biz... When I lived in Columbus I recall that they had to publicize when and where their checkpoints were going to be. Anyone know if this is still the case? If we were out and had ANYTHING to drink (one or two), we would avoid these areas. One radio station even reported on the check point locations.  (May 7, 2007 | post #88)

Sobriety checkpoint nets six DUI arrests

The last checkpoint I saw they were pulling people over that were doing the legal turn around / turn off to avoid it... right or privledge, it is still an invasion of privacy. They give me the privledge to drive but they would be searching my property (ie: my car) without a warrant or probable cause if they pulled me over at one. To me, that is text illegal search and seizure.  (May 7, 2007 | post #66)

Excellent argument 'm c pee pants'. I especially like the way that you composed a full sentence and addressed a specific topic. why bother?  (May 4, 2007 | post #12)

Cindy Sheehan urges KSU crowd to 'a new revolution'

This would be a slap in the face to all who served and died in Vietnam. These students' deaths were tragic and have their memorial, but they were protesting the war. They did not die fighting for our country, they were able to sleep in a safe, dry, comfy bed the night before they died. The died while using the right enabled to them by the soldiers fighting. You said it all in your quoteSadam of Iraq, the Taliban and Al Qaeda(sp) would all be considered evil, America (aka the good folks) isn't sitting around doing nothing; therefore, evil shall not triumph. Thank you for the help arguing against your point. As for Cindy Sheehan, her son knew the risk and the benefit of joining our military. He chose to join out of this analysis or pure pride of country. Either way, she is disgracing his service by her actions since his death by hanging her liberal campaign on his grave.  (May 4, 2007 | post #15)
