The U.N. Investigates American Racism
Stay tuned tomorrow, I'll bring some of my evidence to work with me so I can give it to you. If you are sincere in your efforts to believe, then you'll investigate the sources I'll give. (May 28, 2008 | post #696)

The U.N. Investigates American Racism
I see you are from Washington, where did you grow up? Washington is far dislocated from all realms of the War for Southern Independance, I can't imagine the true settlement of the Washington/Oregan area. Unless you've lived and studied truly the war from an objective opinion, you cannot truly comment rationally. (May 28, 2008 | post #678)

Read and study your history yourself. It is documented that slavery had began to end even in the south. Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy stated that left to its own devices, slavery would have ended peacably in the south within 25 years. You need to read the slave chronicles published in 1929. These were interviews with former slaves over the years since the end for the War for Southern Independance, in each account, they were quoted that life before the war was better for them than life afterwards. The atrociticies documented in writings after the war show that the myth being fed the Union soldiers was that the blacks welcomed their freedom and would rise up and kill their slave masters. There is only a few documented cases where this occurred. In most cases, the opposite happened. In fact, there were many slaves that went to war with their masters as personal body guards. THe myth makers of the north have slandered the south to the point that the southerners were the villians, but if you read the words of these former slaves, you will see that they had it a lot better than before than after the war. Do I support slavery? Absolutly not, but as I stated before, left to its own devices, slavery would have ended on its own. (May 27, 2008 | post #676)

Mr Lincoln was a racist. Note some of his statements while in his flawed presidency. (May 27, 2008 | post #618)
The U.N. Investigates American Racism
The issue of slavery is the attempt of the northern spin-makers to make their invation of the south legitimate. Only 6% of the landowners in the south owned slaves, and of the 6%, almost 1% of those were people of color. If only 6% of the people in the south were slave owners, do you think that the other 94% would have gone to war to protect those 6%'s interest? Study your history, the war was fought over state's rights. Prior to The War for Southern Independance, 80% of the country's wealth was in the south. If the north had allowed the south to succeed, the 80% of the tax revenue would disappear. Prior to the War for Southern Independance, there were slaves in the north as well as the south. The slave trade was primarily driven by the rich families in Mass, CT and Maine. Ulysses S. Grant did not free his slaves until after the end of the war, his reason, who would have helped out while I was gone. Northern spin doctors have worked very hard in indoctorinating school children over the last 3 generations to think the south was bad. The south was not bad, the south did not believe that the federal government had the right to tell who, when, what and how a state could sell its goods. The states of IN, IL, OH, and MI all adopted laws, not policies, but laws stating that no person of color could move into and settle in that state and any person of color who was not a citizen of that state stayed more than 30 days, they could be whipped. These are all documented facts. Mr Lincoln himself stated that he did not think it right that northern states should have to take in those free slaves. He stated, "Though we free them, does not mean we have to take them into our domain." All documented. (May 27, 2008 | post #617)

And by the way...I grew up during integration in the South but am in no way racist against anyone who works to improve their life and the lives of their children and/or people. If you look across the US, you will find racism in all races, white, black, hispanic, indian. If all called themselves Americans and not Afri-Amer, Mex-Amer, Nativ-Amer, then we could all go on with our lives. Its those who demand that separate indentity that fuels the fire. If you are born in America, then you are an American. (May 27, 2008 | post #615)

There is more racism per captia in Africa than there is in any other continent on the globe. If it weren't for the black on black slave trade in the 1700-1800's, there would be very few black in the US right now. If you are going to blame anyone, blame the people who sold blacks to the slave traders. (May 27, 2008 | post #612)

The U.N. Investigates American Racism
The U.N. is the most prejudicial, racist organization on the face of the earth. Proven time and time again. My uncle was a member of the U.N. peace keeping force in the Middle East back in the 70's and said that of all the members, the U.S. soldiers were treated the worse. (May 27, 2008 | post #609)

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN...I am glad to see now that there is someone who actually knows what a Caucasian is besides me. I have claimed my right to be a Native American for many years now. I was born in America, I was raised in America, and I still live in America. That makes me a Native American. (May 27, 2008 | post #608)
