What are some of the things that bother you about Albuque...

I like the bike trail on Tramway and Paseo de las Montanos. The heights are pretty nice too, and you gotta love those mountains;-) Old Town and the drive down Rio Grande is pretty nice too, and Corrales is beautiful! Oh yeah, stuff we don't like huh? Well, my mama always said if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.... Oh yeah, mmmm, did I mention enchiladas, burritos, salsa, and margaritas? As long you got these things, what's not to like eh?  (Dec 14, 2011 | post #16)

'Billy the Kid' PBS film explores Hispanic link

maybe I should have said economic rights. They were fighting against a faction that was trying to push out their competition placing a monopoly on the feed trade. Tunstall had a right to open a business- although Billy probably got carried away in aveging his death, the principle remains. Tunstall had a right to life and to open a business in the free market.  (Dec 12, 2011 | post #9)

Know the truth about history, or we're bound to repeat it.  (Dec 12, 2011 | post #4)

He wasn't all that bad... Look at the actual history. The people he was fighting against- Brady, Murphy, and Dolan- were trying to place a monopoly on Lincoln. Both sides hired gangs for protection, but Murphy and Dolan started the war killing John Tunstall right in front of Billy. These were tough tines back then, and one of the main reasons Billy got a bad rap was because Murphy and Dolan had a lot of money and controlled the goverment: ie the Sante Fe ring. It was a merchant war gone bad, and Billy was lived in those days because he tried to stick up for the little guy. He was known to tell others to stand up for what they work for. Billy may have been a murderer, but so are so many others in power. The merchants of that day controlled a lot of goverment- as is the case today too!- and Billy got a bad rap for trying to stick up for the rights of his employer. It's funny how so many people point their fingers at a small time murderer while big time corruption and real crimes are committed right under their noses. Still happens today. No, Billy wasn't a rosy individual. But neither were the people in power back then trying to stamp out a competing merchant because of greed. People fail to see that Billy and his gang were fighting for basic human rights. Others in his gang, notably Chavez y Chavez, were later pardoned for their crimes- but still Billy has a bad rap. Just remember one thing about the Lincoln County War, it was started by Murphy and Dolan, and they killed John Tunstall in cold blood because he opened up a store competing againt Brady, Murphy, and Dolan. Billy didn't start the war, he was just a young man living in a violent world, and he was caught in the middle of it all.  (Dec 12, 2011 | post #3)

Jesus loves everyone. Does he love Homosexuals though?

Whoa.... Typo there. Do what you truly feel to be right, and in this you can't go wrong.? Something like that. If you are really gay, and being with the opposite sex feels wrong to you- then it probably is. If that is truly how you feel, than that would be immoral. Each persons morality is different. That is life. That being said, we all are sinners, so no man is perfect. If I am wrong, well, FORGIVE ME GOD! I AM A SINNER. And I know not what I do- nor does anyone else. Anyone who says they know the truth, is a liar. The best we can do as human beings, is live right with ourselves. If living right for you is gay, so be it. Don't let anyone tell you it is wrong, cause they know not what they do. I hope. God bless;-) I don't want to steer anyone the wrong way, but I can't say to deny ones natural feelings either. That would be immoral!  (Dec 11, 2011 | post #154)

I think god talks more about sexual immorality. Being natural, I don't think that can be wrong- we all have human needs, and they are all different. But there is putting sex over god or anything else, just as doing anything in excess can be bad. I don't think god would punish someone for having natural feelings for another. But if it's unnatural, then it might be wrong. I think anyway. May god lead you- I always pray for guidance;-) I don't know though for sure, as I am only human. But these are my thoughts on it. To know thyself, your true nature, is to know god. But a lotof people would tell you to deny your nature, and this I don't think to be healthy. Remember, the spirit is within you, the religion is written in the books. The spirit you can know to be true, but the books you may have to question and discern the truth out of. Remember, there are many different interpretations of the "truth" in the bible. But we all have hearts and spirits that we can listen to. Do what you truly feel to be right, and mist the time you won't go wrong.  (Dec 11, 2011 | post #153)

Was 9/11 a conspiracy??

Watch all 8 of the you tube movies "they want your soul" then get back to us. Why would they do it? Take a history class... The elite think the common citizen cannot think for themselves, and so they believe they have to be controlled. Even in Xenophon's days, 400 bc, they were using what they called the "age old tactic of terror" to control the masses. It is nothing new- these very same tactics have been used for thousands of years to control populations. That should help explain why. They want you to work for them and don't want you thinking you can be free- money-power. But mainly power. If you coul take a piece of every mans worth, if every man thought he owed you something, and he also thought you were protecting him and keeping him safe- would you not want to keep the game up? As long as we have a "common enemy" then all the more reason for you to pay the tax man the billions he needs for his so called war to keep you safe from so called enemy. Sad truth is, they may be creating the enemy, just as they create the money that keeps you working towards their agenda. You are a pawn in a big chess game. After you done watching the yotube video, listen to a little bob Dylan, then get back to us;-) good day  (Dec 11, 2011 | post #213559)
