Supermarket

Hey easy on the Lowes I love that place, and the prices are great. No hassle on returns and they have everything I need. As for Doug's pharmacy, my stopped in to get a prescription filled and the stupid store wasn't even open it was 9:30am and they are suppose to open at 9am. Can't wait for the rite aid, we will be able to use the drive thru. Progress is awesome, convinient and cost effective. Cheers!  (Apr 27, 2008 | post #13)

Supermarket

The farm across from Highcroft estates or the airport is being commericially zonned. Looks like the farmer is packing up and selling. So we may finally get a supermarket in there.  (Mar 13, 2008 | post #6)

Grady David's...

Took the family there, the service was fantastic, the food was so-so. I would go back there again, since there isn't much else out there. But at least its clean and smoke free.  (Mar 8, 2008 | post #8)

Magrogan to open Grady David's

Hey back to the subject, finally took the family to Grady's this Friday night. It wasn't that bad, not the greatest food, but the service was top notch. Its a fine establishment, just think they may want to adjust their prices a wee bit.  (Mar 8, 2008 | post #99)

Morgantown/TwinValley District School Taxes

A good point was brought up about the taxes in this town, do any of you think that the school district here charges to much for taxes. I know they put a sign up for 120K which you can't even see from the highway. I don't think the district has any accountability. The last I checked my mortgage went up with it all going to escrow. Has the dristict always been this money hungry?  (Feb 27, 2008 | post #1)

The boathouse wasn't bad, became a little to pricey for me. I don't really miss Conshy. I actually like Morgantown I just wish Main st was more cleaned up. I think the area is a great place to raise a family, thats why we moved out here  (Feb 25, 2008 | post #33)

The stupid town, charges a fortune in taxes for what amenities? Fix main st up, put a side walk on it, put up lights, flags etc. An example is Fayette St in Conshohocken. Taxes were so low there because they attracted the right people there. Its a place people want to visit, not like the main st dump that is Morgantown. The town could make a fortune, with its quaint uniqueness but no the retards in local govt would rather let the town get run down  (Feb 25, 2008 | post #29)

People get so upset when a Lowes, Walmart moves in, but lets face it, the service is better, the prices are more afordable, not to mention those stores are clean and open on time. I am sick of the mom and pop stores in this town, they suck period! (Please read about the Morgantown Greenery). The problem with those mom and pop stores, like Claire's, the Windmill is the food sucks, to much cigarette smoke and the service is horrible. I would love it if acracker barrell come in. Competition kills these places, because the owners run those places like a pit since they have no competition. Now they do have competition they are being forced to close down. I wouldn't be caught dead shopping in any of those places and neither would my neighbors. Hence we have to drive 20 mins etc. The whole thing is, our time is comming. The new rite aid shows progress is being made.  (Feb 24, 2008 | post #22)
