You might find this site helpful: http://www.fda-rep orts.com/device/tr ansvaginal-mesh.ht ml 703 injuries reported as as a result of transvaginal mesh surgery. Not to mention the 62 malfunction reports and 9 death reports. Best of luck to your wife on whatever she decides. Hopefully the doctor explained all of the other options to her. I don't want to discredit him. He could have performed this surgery very well. It's a difficult surgery and not all doctors are experienced in performing it correctly. He could just be one of the lucky ones. Whether or not her surgeon is successful, I hope she can make an informed decision that is best for her. Please at least ask about other options.  (Aug 7, 2012 | post #3725)

I'm so glad to hear that someone finally received a settlement from this. It seemed like for the longest time, the manufacturers didn't want to admit fault. At least Johnson and Johnson is finally starting to remove their Ethicon mesh from the market. Maybe that will lead to more settlements. I'm not sure if anyone's been to tvtno.org, but that's also a good place to find information and support on this topic.  (Aug 6, 2012 | post #3720)

Drugs for depression, anxiety tied to preterm birth

Paxil, Zoloft, Effexor, Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor, all these common anti-depressants that we see advertised on tv have the ability to harm an unborn child. The big pharma companies spend all this money to make sure we know what their drugs do, but not enough money to make sure they know what these drugs do. Too much to type, but here is breadkdown on some of the birth defects these drugs cause: http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/ssri/ You won't see these on the tv ads.  (Jun 20, 2012 | post #13)

Antidepressants risky during pregnancy

So glad to hear that you were able to continue to take your medication to keep yourself healthy and that your children were both born healthy. Mother's shouldn't have to be faced with a decision to continue to take their medication or not. We need safer drugs for both mother and child. Information on adverse events for anti-depressants various drugs can be found at: http://www.fda-rep orts.com/  (Jun 18, 2012 | post #2)

Antidepressants and pregnancy: What to do now

Fosamax: Is Long Term Use of Bone Strengthening Drug Link...

It seems like the FDA and Merck are working on some kind of study. They're always coming out with some new information, like the recent news that long term use can cauase fractures. Maybe that will help us determine if Fosamax is safe for anyone, and if so, whom. So many people have complained of spontaneous femur fractures, and beign on Fosamax. We are investigating a number of those claims and would be happy to share information. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/Fosamax/fosama x-femur-fractures. asp  (May 29, 2012 | post #19)

Osteoporosis Medication Linked to Unusual Thigh Fractures

It's scary that this drug is causing the exact thing that it was supposed to prevent. We've been investigating a number of incidences in which Fosamax has caused femur fractures. Feel free to message me directly, or check out ourwebsite if you would like to share information. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/Fosamax/fosama x-femur-fractures. asp  (May 29, 2012 | post #7)

Fosamax

I've heard both good things and bad things about Fosamax. Dr. Richard Besser said that it may be good for some people who are older or might need it short term, but it shouldn't be given to younger people for the long term. I work for a law firm that is investigating cases of spontaneous Femur Fracture. The risk for fractures can increase once you've been on it for 5 years. You can check out our website, if you think it may be helpful:http://www .anapolschwartz.co m/practices/Fosama x/  (May 25, 2012 | post #32)

nuva ring

I personally never tried this, and I'm glad I haven't. The law firm that I work for just started investigating cases following a recent Danish Study about Deep Vein Thrombosis in Nuva Ring Users. Apparently there have been almost 1,000 cases filed against the manufacturers since 2008. Our firm would be happy to share information if you are interested. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/birth-control- pill-yasmin/  (May 16, 2012 | post #614)

Edwardsville man sues Takeda, Eli Lilly over Actos

It almost makes you wonder.....If there is some type of conspiracy, hopefully all the emgerging lawsuits against Takeda will result in something positive in the drug industry. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/actos/  (May 9, 2012 | post #3)

Troy Rafferty of Levin, Papantonio Selected for Team of A...

These lawsuits are going on all over the country. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/actos/ It's unfortunate that while this drug is helping some, others are turning out to be worse off.  (May 9, 2012 | post #3)

Takeda, Lilly may face thousands of suits over Actos claims

After the Avandia Scare, many people switched to Actos. Now, people who thought they were keeping themselves safe are findind out they may have been doing more harm than good. It's unfortunate. I work for a firm that has been investigating these instances of bladder cancer. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/actos/  (May 9, 2012 | post #6)

So many doctors were eager to use this implant these mesh in women suffering from POP or SUI, when there were plenty of other options out there, safer options. Nothing can take away the day to day pain caused by these products, but many women are seeking justice through lawsuits. I work for a firm that is investigating these cases for women all across the country. Please feel free to check out our website or facebook group if you think we can help. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/transvaginal/ http://www.faceboo k.com/groups/14236 8339207055/  (May 3, 2012 | post #3243)

J&J Vaginal Mesh Faces FDA Safety Panel as Number of Laws...

What's the point of simply recommending other products? I mean, I get it, but just the pull the darn things from the market. If there are other, better, more effective alternatives, why even make these things available. Especially after causing so much grief. Hopefully, these lawsuits, will force the products manufacturers to take some type of action. http://www.anapols chwartz.com/practi ces/transvaginal/ Also, this FB group gives up to date information on TVmesh and similar products if you want to check it out. http://www.faceboo k.com/groups/14236 8339207055/  (May 3, 2012 | post #12)

Injured by Ethicon's Prolene Hernia/Bladder Mesh?

Here's a fairly new facebook group for people that have been injured by TVmesh and similar products. You may find it useful. http://www.faceboo k.com/groups/14236 8339207055/ If you decide to post, just be careful what you say. J & J and other manufacturers have the ability to subpoena your posts and use it to their advantage if you file a lawsuit against them. (http://www.anapol schwartz.com/pract ices/transvaginal/ ) It sucks.. all the pain caused by their faulty products, we should at least be able to talk about our experiences.  (May 3, 2012 | post #171)
