Three charged in Asheville Police escort sting

I'll tell you what I don't understand about all of this, and that is, why do they not print photo's of these people??? A picture is worth a 1000 words, and would probably save people a lot of time and heartbreak when trying to get an "appointment " with granny.  (Jan 22, 2010 | post #15)

Arrests: Man charged with cocaine, marijuana possession

• Tanya Bradley, 35, of Farm Valley Road, Fletcher, was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. Bradley obtained prescriptions for Hydrocodone and Alprazolam from multiple doctors in subsequent 30-day periods without the others knowing about it, according to warrants. Her bond was set as a written promise to appear in court. Sounds like she may have the "hydro monkey" on her back, that, or selling to those who do. Bad business with the monkey.  (May 4, 2009 | post #1)

Man charged with breaking and entering after wreck

Do not know if this is correct or not, but with the diapers and the meats, it sounds like he may have been trying to secure food for his family?  (Apr 20, 2009 | post #1)

Swain inmate, jailer captured

What goes up, must come down. At least the jailer was not killed as many, myself included, had feared. Now comes the STORY!  (Apr 20, 2009 | post #1)

Arrests: Man charged with ramming woman's car

I used to get in a rage sometimes when people just sat with a green light. Used to accuse them of being a women driver or some old bat, and I would just get totally torn out of frame. Then I realized it didn't make any difference, the time it cost was so little in the scheme of things that I simply stopped getting upset. Same thing when someone was going 15 in a 35 mph zone. Now I just match their speed and cruise along! Whole lot more peaceful in my car now!  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #31)

JN, you are referring to Jeff being released today correct? If so it really needs to be front page news so that this doesn't hang around his neck like a millstone! God does answer prayer, and prayer is the most powerful weapon we have!  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #134)

Arrests: 2 charged with possessing 443 painkiller pills

Got to go with noobs on this one. Addiction is not a disease, but a choice. We have gotten to the point where we label a lot of things as a disease so that we don't have to take responsibility for it. Homosexuality is not a disease, like addiction, it is a choice. We have to learn to take responsibilty for the things we do and not take the easy road by claiming a disease because when we do claim disease we just take the responsibility off our shoulders. I made the choice to screw up 10 years of my life, go into debt, and lose my wife of 25 years. But I am taking responsibility for this and slowly but surely I'm getting my life straightened out out. I could have claimed I had a disease and then just stayed in my addiction claiming I had no cure for my disease, it would have been easy to do so, but then I would probably still be there, or worse, have overdosed and be dead! It's much better to take responsibility for your actions!  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #23)

From what I've read it would seem that the jailer who was fired was doing the correct thing by having another jailer watching while he took a approved break. Course I do not know evrything about it, just what I've read.  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #21)
