Thank you for answering my questions about the steroid cream. I just wanted to talk to someone else who has used it. Don't worry about me getting worse. I'm not going to let that happen. I've got lots of iver and Martins. I completely cured it for three months back in June with cattle perm so I don't think this is dermatitis. The steroid cream is healing my rashes. I'm just waiting to see if I have any new breakouts. I'm supposed to call him back after using the steroid cream for two weeks, so we'll see what he says if I tell him I've had new rashes. I'll let you guys know what happens. The waiting is the hardest.  (Apr 8, 2013 | post #492)

I think that may be the issue here. It seemed like he was looking for human scabies and I don't think thats what I'm dealing with. The only mite these doctors know about is the human kind.  (Apr 8, 2013 | post #491)

I see that the trolls have been out in force since I've been gone! The best thing to do is ignore them. I went to my derm yesterday. I told him this is the same thing I had when we had the cats that had mange. He told me that mange mites don't get on people! He gave me an RX for steroid cream and told me I have dermatitis. I know this awful crawling and itching is NOT dermatitis! The perm cream is the only thing that has ever helped to dry up these rashes I get. Has anyone ever used this steroid cream? Will it just hide the symptoms until I get so bad I have a really bad breakout? He told me to use lotion all over my body. I've done that before many times and it doesn't work. The rashes just keep coming back. I'm supposed to call the derm in two weeks to let him know how my rashes are doing. I'm afraid that the steroid cream will just treat the symptoms and not cure this! I'm praying for you guys that you all will get better. Keep this thread going, don't let the trolls run you off. We need each other!  (Apr 4, 2013 | post #479)

I really think it is at Epidemic if not Pandemic levels

Keep on him, don't give up. I'm glad to see someone trying to contact health officials about this. I've been dealing with this for five months now. I called the local health unit here in our town about how I could be getting this back. I talked to a nurse. I told her how this started with me.Five years ago, I got it from a cat that we had that had mange. We don't have animals any more but I keep getting it back again. She couldn't tell me much. She just said I should see a derm and have skin scrapings done to see if it was a mite. These people don't know ANYTHING about mites, and there's a lot of people suffering because of it.  (Mar 28, 2013 | post #24)

You have been such a help to me and my family! Thanks for sharing your ideas about stress. I cry a lot over this. I don't know if crying helps or hurts but I guess it's better than holding it all in. I welcome anyone to share their ideas with us. If your new, don't be afraid to post something. Keep the good comments coming and lets keep this thread alive with helpful ideas.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #448)

Thank you fred for helping me with the troll. I'm sorry I vented so bad but I was pretty itchy. I've been feeling better since I used the iver. The crawling is a lot better esp. on my head. I know I'm bad when I feel the crawling during the day. I've seen where some people say their doctors told them that the crawling had nothing to do with the mites. I think that's VERY wrong!! The problem is that doctors don't listen to their patients any more. They believe the outdated information they get from a book. These doctors are failing us! As long as they get a big fat check they don't care. they run people through like cattle. Relying on doctors has become a thing of the past. If you have found a good doctor, stay with them, it's a rare thing to find a doc that cares any more. My mom has been going through chronic pain after a car accident she was in years ago. After EIGHT years she has finally found a doctor who will even listen to her!! She's been to EVERY kind of doctor she could go to. And do you want to know where this doc works? At a little small town clinic. She listens to her and talks to her. She's willing to try different meds. She's everything that a doctor should be. She's rare. I hope I'm lucky enough to find the same.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #45)

I think we should share our ideas about dealing with the STRESS with this crud! The stress this has caused my family has been overwhelming for us! My husbands job is really stressful anyways and this just makes it worse. We fight a lot over this, and its been really hard. I sit around all day and worry about breaking out again that night! This is making my family miserable! We go for walks but the weather has been really bad here lately so we can't do that right now. We went on a driving trip last week, but we could only be gone for one day because of a snow storm! Staying inside all the time over this weather has been contributing to the anxiety and stress my family has been going through. Getting outside has been the only way we can deal with this. My anxiety has been so bad I've been trying to read books to help take my mind off of worrying. I think it would help if we talked about the stress and how we can deal with it. We can share some ideas about what we can do to calm the anxiety and worrying. The stress has been the worst part of this whole ordeal for my family. I think talking about it with each other would help.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #445)

I know how you feel I thought it was over, too, a few weeks ago, and I started to break out again. We have to keep fighting this. We have to help each other get through this. Together, we are an army. We need to keep this thread alive and not let it fall to the trolls! Ignore them and they will go away. If they want to argue with themselves, let them do it. You guys are the only thing keeping me and others going right now. Please don't let this thread fall to people who just come here to cause trouble. There are a lot of people who just come here and read. They're too afraid to post anything because of trouble makers. I know, I started coming here five years ago when I got this the first time. I read hundreds of posts, learned everything I could. I wouldn't know what I DO know without this forum. I just recently got up the nerve to start posting myself. I'm really glad I made that decision! I've met some wonderful people here. And learned a lot more.Lets please think of those people who are coming here and reading, feeling alone. DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!!  (Mar 19, 2013 | post #436)

TO LANG: Those track marks look awful! What kind of mites did you have? I don't get track marks like that. I'm only getting red solid looking rashes and little clusters of red dots that itch only at night. I itch all over. In the palms of my hands and tops of my feet. I get these little red lines on my skin that look like scratches but they go away after just a few days. How long did those track marks last? I have rashes on my scalp, too. They itch and crawl really bad. I heard that your wife had them on her head, too. Ive had to start using the cattle perm again. How did you get them off of her head? I've been using bb and I have continued to break out. That's why I went back to the cattle perm. I use the cattle perm on my head, too. I also use liquid iver orally. It helps for about a week. What kind of mites do you think I have? I've been fighting this since october! I have DE in my carpets and a cover on my mattress and pillow. I wash my blankets every day. Do you think my husband and daughter are giving this back to me? What can they treat with? We're out of perm cream. What else can I do. I feel so alone!  (Mar 18, 2013 | post #422)

Okay this is where I'm at right now guys. I broke out again on my stomach last night really bad.I have rashes on my legs and arms. The bb hasn't been working at all. I've slowly gotten worse all week. I used the cattle perm last night because I was itching so bad. my head was itching and crawling really bad again, too. I had to wash the cattle perm off after three hours because my heart was racing so bad. I'm almost out of perm cream so I'm saving it for my hands and face. the cattle perm burns my face pretty bad. I felt better after I used it. It's been a week since I used the iver. I didn't use soap to wash it off just water. I'm not going to take a shower today. I'm hoping I still have enough on to help. I need your help, guys! Does anyone know where I can get 10% perm that doesn't have petroleum in it? What do you do when you run out of cream? Does anyone know where I can get perm cream? I found someone selling the small tubes on ebay. I have a derm. appointment April 3rd. I hope he can help me. If he can't I don't know what I'm going to do! I'm back to where I was in december before all three of us went to urgent care and got the cream. The cream worked the best for me. It made me feel normal again. I still broke out while I was using it but not as bad as this. I have rashes on my arms and legs and stomach. I don't know what to do any more! Please help me if you can!  (Mar 18, 2013 | post #41)

Thanks for the funny joke. We need some laughs on this forum. It helps. I don't mind you talking about meds. I think it's important to keep your mind sane if you can. I think anxiety medicine would help me a lot. I have really bad anxiety over this. I've lost a lot of weight. About the bb- How did you guys use it? I've seen different ways. You can use it three days in a row, or you can use it three times in one day. I've been using it three times in one day. It dries my skin out pretty bad, so I'm afraid to use it every day. I used the bb three days after I took the liquid iver. When the iver wears off, I get itchy again. I'm going to try and wait until Monday to use the iver again because we're going on a driving trip to Arkansas on tuesday night. We'll be gone until Friday. I'm taking the iver Monday so I'll be itch free and protected for a few days! I'm also taking a tube of permethrin with me ( my last one ), just in case. Do yall think I'm prepared enough? Pray for me, to have NO NEW RASHES on my trip! Thank you for filling my thread with lots of useful stuff. Maybe this thread will help other people who come here seeking advice. People who are scared and feel alone. Keep the good information coming, lets fill this thread up with it, guys! I'll be gone a few days next week, but I'll be back. To read the ones I've missed. Jokes, too.  (Mar 15, 2013 | post #39)

Thank you SO much for all of this wonderful feedback! You guys are the greatest. I have been using 100% bb mixed with 97% alcohol to make a 25% bb solution. Have any of you used acabiol? Do you know if it might work better? I just started taking injectable iver orally and I've been feeling better.I've used it before with good results. I'm going to try the iver along with bb and see what happens. I'm going to check this thread every day so keep the good information coming. I'm soaking up all the info I can right now. Try not to argue with trolls ;) No matter how mad you get! I know what posts are the helpful ones for me. You guys are the greatest.  (Mar 13, 2013 | post #26)

Thank you so much for your response! I have heard that it kills them the quickest, too! How have you used it? Needspeace is a good friend to me and she has been helping me to get through this, please feel free to talk to her about this. I don't know what I'd do without her right now. This is taking over my life and I need all the information I can get about treatments with bb. It's all I can afford to use right now.  (Mar 12, 2013 | post #7)

I've been using perm cream on my body for months. I was using the cattle spray on my head. Those two things together worked the best for me so far. But, I'm almost out of perm cream. We don't have tons of money to go back to the doctor for more so I've been trying to find something else that will work for me. I started mixing BB with rubbing alcohol and using that all over. I'm using the remaining cream that I have on my face. I've been doing this for a little over a week now. The itching gets better for a few days but then it comes right back. I have a rash on my stomach that kept itching and getting really red at night so I put the cream on it and now it's better. I don't know if the bb is helping or not. I also have them on my scalp. I get little red rashes there that itch really bad. I've been fighting this for over four months now. I've used iver, too. The kind for cows and pigs. How many of you have used BB? Did it work for you? It's supposed to kill them. I'm worried that I may have to go back to the cattle spray if it doesn't work. I've got my floors covered in DE, too. I'm so tired of fighting this. If anyone has any experience using BB, please let me know how it worked for you.  (Mar 11, 2013 | post #1)
