Boe deserves to be remembered fondly

Well Done Mark Herrmann.. Godspeed Roy Boe....Thanks for the Memories!!  (Jun 9, 2009 | post #11)

NY hockey meets sudden death

Nice writeup Mark Herrmann...That last minute collapse by the Dev's last night was nothing short of stunning. And props for angling in a "cup is half full" in describing what was a miserable season to be an Isles fan.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #12)

Honeymoon with Yankee Stadium over

Looking at the picture here, I can't tell if I am looking at a baseball park or simply staring north at the corner of 43rd St and Broadway.  (Apr 23, 2009 | post #9)

Gilroy couldn't turn down being a Ranger

Good luck with the Rangers Matt Gilroy. (And I mean that). Not signing with the Isles is another in a long line of blows to this once proud franchise.  (Apr 23, 2009 | post #4)

Hempstead is making sure to get Lighthouse right

"Contrary to the belief of most Islanders fans and other Lighthouse supporters, the project involves more than rehabilitating the Nassau Coliseum." What a condescending and arrogant pile for diarrhea from Mr. Levy. If this guy is representative of Ms. Murray's shield of advisors, I feel sorry for anyone who does, or tries to do business in the Town Of Hempstead. I submit that Mr. Levy needs to drive down from the North Shore once in awhile and take a stroll along Hempstead Turnpike. The people may know more than you think sir. I submit that in continuing to cower within whatever hole Ms. Murray has chosen to reside, and unleashing this yapping doberman of a representative to insult TOH residents and voters, Kate Murray is "LEVYING " yet another tax on her constituency. FREE KATE MURRAY..... Leaders lead, they don't hide behind lawyers and obscure legalities. Just my opinion....from two time zones away.  (Mar 27, 2009 | post #54)

Here's how the A-Rod saga will end

I fully expected to see comments questioning Rieber's "intelligence " about the "Germans bomb Pearl Harbor" reference. How right was I? He was making a movie reference folks. He is not THAT dumb. (Just know, though, that Animal House is probably the ONLY movie that he will EVER reference. He has led a very sheltered life, and has seen only 3-4 movies...True Story!!).  (Mar 6, 2009 | post #7)

Islanders' Lighthouse power play long overdue

Well said  (Jan 15, 2009 | post #1)

Avery suspension by NHL is dumb

Staple had me until the end of the column when he resurrected Milbury. Sheesh....  (Dec 5, 2008 | post #16)

Reeling New York Rangers need to make changes

LOL Busey.....I s'pose I went a little "over the top" with my comment. I was commenting on the fact that Staple spelled "god" with a small "g" which usually refers to what we in this country consider false gods. A capital "G" usually means the "BIG GUY" the one that the politically incorrect crowd worships. Not my best work.  (Nov 6, 2008 | post #21)

Reeling New York Rangers need to make changes

"Thank god for Henrik Lundqvist." Which "god" were you thanking Staple? Maybe the Norse god Odin? or perhaps Noki? Or did you have the Christian "God" in mind?  (Nov 6, 2008 | post #12)

Details of Joba's night out

Horrible, disgraceful and unnecessary story. This Enquiring Mind wants to know who the reporter was that was asked by Harlan Chamberlain to get off of his property.  (Oct 21, 2008 | post #80)

Reg Dunlop will always be a hockey star

Great article Herrmann. You brought me back to the 60's with the Duck/Muckler/Broph y mentions. Those were glorious(?) days in the old Commack Arena what with cops being called out on numerous occasions, bonfires in the stands, chickenwire for fan protection....Ahh. ..that was hockey!! Reg Dunlop for the Hall of Fame!!!  (Sep 30, 2008 | post #1)

Yogi recalls meeting The Babe

OUSTANDING ARTICLE KEN.......... Yogi and The Babe brings a tear to my eye.  (Aug 27, 2008 | post #1)

Meet the Mankees/Yets

how do you keep Joba out of the starting rotation?  (Jun 26, 2008 | post #1)

Report: Baseball to try out instant replay

Good Idea....bad location. The Arizona Fall League uses the all the MLB spring training complexes. All very nice "cookie cutter" fields with excellent sight lines (from the field) all around the parks. It's tough for an umpire to screw up any HR calls there.  (May 22, 2008 | post #2)
