Praxedis G. Guerrero's former chief of police discusses a...

I just hope that the Immigration judge and common citizens alike will see through this so called Police Chiefs fraudulent attempt to obtain asylum. What training education or expertise qualified her for a chiefs position with the newest cop whose employment began May 31, 2011 now a Police Chief? This woman whose hearing is set for 2013 should be sent to another part of Mexico to be protected and heard, she is not that important to the cartels only to her leching family of tag along's. Any family and so called "Police Chief" that follows will be seeking a free ride at the expense of taxpayers and our constitution. They laugh at our gullibility and create their own assumed danger to perpetrate their entry into American citizenship and then have the nerve to invite the whole dog-gone family to join them. I ask, what will stop any Mexican woman with a baby from attempting the same ploy? I am so tired of women using their children "I'm a mom" like it's an automatic pass go card to facilitate this fraudulent activity! and an example should be made of them, they are not smarter than a 5th grader and certainly are not smarter than the people that decide these immigration cases.  (Jun 26, 2011 | post #43)

Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare lays off 13 employees

So do several hundred other people who have been duped into believing that for their several thousand dollar tuition they'll be guaranteed a lifetime job with a good salary and benefits. In truth these for profit educational institutions are flooding the job market with marginal graduates and can only temporarily sustain the ratio of students vs jobs. I wish you good-luck and hope that I'm wrong.  (Jun 21, 2011 | post #14)

Struggling substitutes: Glut of teaching hopefuls' job-hu...

The problem is that so many more young people are going to college along with the creation and advancement of on-line education is creating the desired effect,of making teachers a dime a dozen. I hate to be a pessimist but I predict teaching professionals will one day be like garbageman, a dying breed! Schools, books and classrooms will become unnecessary with the internet curriculum advancing the way our kids are taught and their intelligence measured. One does not have to be Nostradamus to see this handwriting nor does one have to be a genius to realize the world won't end in 2012, this genius says that the Mayans simply stopped adding days and years to the calendar, any muddlehead surely realizes that there is a beginning and end and they had to stop somewhere!  (Jun 20, 2011 | post #70)

Mexico arrests 'El Brad Pitt', alleged Juarez cartel boss

Its funny to me that all the captured drug bosses and their flunky's are fat, out of shape and in reality nothing more than straight-up cowards with a gun. I'd meet any one of these bums in an alley of their choosing and beat the tacos out of em.  (Jun 16, 2011 | post #20)

Two men arrested in string of Cricket store robberies

You sound like a damn fool. If your thinking is that race is responsible for your predicament and that there are no white, Mexican, Asian or other worthless men that won't rob and steal you blind you'll be back on Topix complaining every 6 months for the rest of your life. If as you proclaim to be balling only white men you sound like a **** and fool.  (Jun 15, 2011 | post #10)

Major panel: Drug war failed; legalize marijuana

People everywhere around the world are smoking pot and doing just fine. I for one favor marijuana use over alcohol period. As a democratic society and living in a country that boasts of its freedoms I think it is hypocritical to not allow one the opportunity to make an informed choice on what substances to use or not use. In as much as the criminal elements are controlling and profiting from the drug market, it is "high time" that the government get out of our homes and let us enjoy our constitutional rights to live and let live. Legislation of morality is a failed idea and will never be successful, how alcohol and tobacco is legal and accepted as such is so backwards and silly its ludicrous!  (Jun 2, 2011 | post #9)

Since 2004, El Paso police unit solves 102 of 106 murders

I appreciate these guys for their collective dedication to righting the tragic wrongs that life sometimes deals us, keep up the good work and I hope the creeps that have thus far escaped justice will soon see you'all knocking on their doors with an arrest warrant. As a fan of the A&E First 48; I often wish that I'd have had the honor of giving some satisfaction to surviving family that have lost loved ones to violent crime. Maybe in my next life!  (May 30, 2011 | post #1)

Criminal deportees worry Mexican border mayors

So Mexico wants to be warned when their citizens are deported? Is America warned when Mexicans are as a matter of policy allowed to illegally come to our country? of course not. Its time for them crooks in the Mexican politburo to recognize and solve their own problems, stop blaming us for their shortcomings and deal with it! At the same time it way past due for US taxpayers to continually subsidize the Mexican prison system, these thugs should have been deported upon conviction.  (May 29, 2011 | post #63)
