Greyhound scraps ads after Canada bus beheading

All of you people, right and left are idiots. This tragedy has absolutely nothing to do with political leanings of anyone. This is a case where one person murdered another person. All of the name calling is just so much BS. Just like our political parties of today. Instead of focusing on what color Obama is or how old McCain is why don't all of us ask the questions that need answering? What will it cost to do what Obama wants to do? What are the results of what McCain wants to do? Or better yet, what in blue blazes do either of them really want to do once in office?  (20 hrs ago | post #58)

Question of the day is 'will he be'; right one is, 'should he be?'

There is only one problem with your point of view Mitchell. Minorities can not be racist. It is only white Americans who have that distinction. After all, it is impossible for someone who has no authority and no influence to disregard someone else. All you have to do is ask Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or the Reverend Jerimiah Wright. They will tell you endless stories about how white America has kept black people down and treated them like chattel. What they won't talk about is black people like Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, Clarence Thomas and the many succesful black athletes and performers. These people they refer to as Uncle Toms, Oreos [black outside/white inside] and house slaves [Harry Belafonte's term for Colin Powell]. I have a question that I dare any liberal or white apologist or black activist to answer. What other country on this planet could a black man make $21,000,000.00 a year for putting a round ball through a netted hoop?  (20 hrs ago | post #4)

3d teen charged in bat attack on couple

It's time that the police and the rest of the people in Saint Paul and Minneapolis realize that these animals are just that, animals. They don't deserve any better treatment than we would offer to a diseased dog. It would be a benefit to society and to the diseased animal to put IT out of ITS pain. Shoot to kill and damn the consequences.  (21 hrs ago | post #10)

Chief says police getting threats for killing bear stuck in jar

I blame all of this "animals are cute" stuff on Walt Disney. Ever since Steamboat Willy animals have worn white gloves and talked like they come from Iowa.  (Friday Aug 1 | post #35)

Gunman opens fire on swimmers in Wisconsin; 3 dead

All of you anti-guns nuts are having a field day with this one. Have you ever stopped to consider the fact that if there wasn't a nutcase behind the gun nothing would ever happen? I guarantee that if a loaded .357 was sitting on your kitchen table, and no one ventured near it, that gun would never harm a soul. People who use a gun to murder another should be tried, and when convicted taken out behind the courthouse and shot like the deranged animals they are. Of course in the liberal society of today, these poor misunderstood creatures are considered victims. It is all the fault of their past. They were mistreated as children and should be forgiven this minor mistake.  (Friday Aug 1 | post #15)

Partisan politics must yield to facts on the ground

You can believe anything you want about whether there were WMDs in Iraq when we went in. What you must admit is that for several years leading up to the incursion, every intelligence report available to both the Clinton and the Bush administrations said there were. I will agree that Saddam either had been deprived of the ability to regain the capability to produce more or he had the foresight to remove them to Syria. Either way, there were none in Iraq. That said, we are there now. If we leave now all we will have done is provide a sanctuary for terrorists. By killing them in Iraq we can avoid the necessity of killing them in America. I for one prefer that they die in Iraq. My real problem is that the current politicians [Republican and Democrat] lack the testicular fortitude of my daughters Chihuahua.  (Wednesday Jul 30 | post #68)

Brett Favre applies for reinstatement

All of you are just blowing it your **** e$. No one, other than the Packer GM, has any idea of what they will do. They might just pay the jerk to sit on the bench all year. Why would the Vikings want this dude? His record in the Metrodome is pathetic.  (Tuesday Jul 29 | post #12)

6 jurors sworn in on 1st day of selection for Franco's trial

It has been said over and over again that we don't need any new laws, just enforcement of the ones we alreday have. The post from Owl Gore just reinforces that. If the federal law with regard to aiding and abetting illegals were enforced we would have fewer illegals and fewer liberals in office. We would also have fewer businesses and individuals willing to hire the illegals. I say go after all of em. Start at the top with the elected "representati ves" of the people, get the businesses and individuals who hire the illegals next. This would make it much more difficult for illegals to stay here. If they were not protected by sanctuary cities and not hired by anyone they would have no income and therefore no money to send home.  (Tuesday Jul 29 | post #14)

Bush: Former Army cook's crimes warrant execution

It is quite amusing to see you leftists continue to post with regard to the "rights" of the detainees in Guantanamo. These individuals are "enemy combatants" and as such have only the rights granted by their captors. I would like to see half this much angst shown when the mutilated body of an American serviceman or woman is recovered. Or when an American contractor is hung from a bridge and burned. You love these detainees so much, petition the military to let you have a couple of them.  (Tuesday Jul 29 | post #39)

Bush: Former Army cook's crimes warrant execution

The "enemy combatants" being held in Guantanamo are not POWs. They are not covered by the Geneva Convention, nor are they citizens of the United States. Therefore, they have no rights other than those granted by their captors. Maybe you can arrange to have one or two released into your custody. Serve you right if the military agreed to do it.  (Tuesday Jul 29 | post #38)

Bush: Former Army cook's crimes warrant execution

This is the typical assinine response all thinking people expect from an abortion supporter. The major difference in support of the death penalty for criminal acts deemed heinous enough to deserve it and an abortion is that the flesh and blood killed by the abortion is innocent of any crime. I realize that the distinction is very difficult for your side to recognize.  (Tuesday Jul 29 | post #33)

Packers GM: Brett Favre won't be traded to division rival

If this is the best sports story the PP can come up with they need new sports writers. No one in their right mind really believes that Favre [that's Fav-Ree] will ever be a Viking, and no one who is a true Viking fan wants him here.  (Monday Jul 28 | post #8)

Childress defends communication with Favre

A great sport for real men. I doubt that the most elite athletes in the NFL could carry the jock straps of any one of the US Olympic gymnasts. A Football game is foty five minutes of action crammed into three and half hours.  (Sunday Jul 27 | post #5)

Joe Soucheray: For those who believe anything, it's easy to bel...

The only thing I have to say to you is; If you don't vote, you lose all your rights to complain about anything the winning administration does for the next four years. At least go to the polls and write your own name in.  (Sunday Jul 27 | post #13)
