They went from a majority-minority to a minority- minority...handing over their numerical power and political-influence within a short span to Hispanics...and with the increase of Asian immigrants (who are managing to secure their wealth)..within a even shorter period of time AAs will be that permanent underclass soon.  (May 1, 2014 | post #171)

Brillant...I'm happy to hear BW not only understanding building and controlling Black wealth, but strengthening black economic group interestThere are several options Black women can take as a collective group...one is to remove their resources and invest them in markets that are welcoming to them..... BW can also start using discrimination laws on the book to prevent illegal discrimination that prevents them from their economic rights.. Then there is the option of BW placing themselves in more leadership positions (as business moguls themselves) and start hiring themselves (other Black women)...  (May 1, 2014 | post #170)

With the recent racist event with the NBA..maybe it was a slight eye-opener..as it was said to always be known by those in the business that this owner was racist and allegedly practice some housing discrimination or at least wished too..anyways...it was not only overlooked by his biracially black "girlfriend ", but by Black employees (coaches, players, etc.) for the basic same reason..economic benefits.....but the spiritual law of "what you sow you will reap" took care of the issue..him wishing no blacks attend his games has ironically became his own fate..to never be allowed to tend the games...and it has "motivated " some of the wealthier Blacks to want to buy his team (if it becomes available)...I personally would love to see Oprah purchase it, but what would make me giggle.. would be if Magic became the owner....either way.... Blacks dominate in the contribution of the wealth enjoyed by the athletic industry, but they do not control the bulk of the resources created...but the problem is not just selfishly controlling the wealth...but practicing group economic sharing (like everyone else), but unfortunately (as we see stated in this thread on the topic of not seeing the importance of employing black models as a black artists) it doesn't seem to be understood how one has to reinvest in Black employment or economic chain in order to spread millions of Black wealth through the Black community in order to rebuilding the black economic infrastructure.  (May 1, 2014 | post #168)

Asexuality discussion thread

@SG You're welcome and very interesting.. for me...I don't feel any emotional or sexual attraction to women whatsoever...and for men..it's far and close to none existences...there is some rare occasion..and that only happens within a stable relationship/marri age where the emotional bond is built...then and only then do I feel any type of sexual attraction...outsi de of that...there is nothing..so I do understand how it's possible for you to feel nothing.. Growing up..I never had crushes either...neither did I dream of marriage and children.. I do believe the percentage of asexuals are higher than what's reported...I'm sure there are asexuals who are in believed "happy" relationships/marr iages (like so many homosexuals or lesbians were/are) because of social pressures..who have zero to very low sexual attraction for their partners (which probably effective some marriages and parenting..due to the fact societies pressure motherhood/fatherh ood on women/men who don't want the role of wife/mother or husband/father)..t hen there is the fact that many asexuals marry each other and raise children together..some of the rare occasion for sex could be motivated by another factor besides sexual gratification..suc h as emotional intimacy, or reproduction..as romantic orientation is not the same as a sexual one.  (May 1, 2014 | post #25)

It's pleasurable..direc tly and indirectly...the new experiences, people, and culture is great..then there is the ability and opportunity for me to "chase that dollar bill"..so I'm not complaining at all..I'm a happy womanIt is absolutely beautiful here right now...Hope you and your's will have a wonderful summerI'm with you..timing is "everything "...you can do the right thing in the wrong season..and I've notice that generally Black people don't know how to properly read the times & seasons and adapt accordingly...but I agree with you..it doesn't "feel" like now is the right time (although the writings are on the wall)..as we see many people OUTWARDLY don't want to OPENINGLY "tolerate racism" (of course the country really cannot afford that when China is said to surpass the States economic superpower as early as this year..so racist and sexist institutionalized practice will further cost America economically if they don't start adapting a lot faster and start practicing more fair and inclusion employment for all it's citizens.. As for Black models...I think they currently should seek out avenues where they are welcomed (as someone suggested earlier)..and AAW could probably find plenty of work among the African market...AA are said to have trillions of spending power...and how much of that is in the hands of AAW? AAW need to start pulling their resources and invest in areas that invest in them..and such an impact alone...will bring compromiseI have a concern for (Black) women..as women make up 70% of the world's poor... so we can say..there is an underclass in the underclass or that (Black) women are a permanent underclass.. so when we approach the control of resource (and employment is just one area)..we have to keep in mind the social and economic impact on (Black) women if we are not involved in the decision making process surrounding capitalism.. we must stay very proactive in fighting racial/gender discrimination when it comes to economic policies.  (May 1, 2014 | post #167)

Asexuality discussion thread

Hi Spotted Girl... How do you define your terms or levels of asexuality (if you want to answer)...What I mean is although there may be a lack of sexual attraction to males & females...do you have any emotional or romantic attraction to people? Do you also consider yourself to be aromantic or would it fall into another category? If I had to choose for myself..it would be demiromantic/demis exual with males only. Although it's claimed that only 1% of the population is asexual..I personally believe it's "much" higher..and most asexuals are probably in the closet (like homosexuals were) because of social judgment and because many may be confused still.  (May 1, 2014 | post #17)

I appreciate that :DThat's why I said it is hypocritical....hi storically speaking; gender roles were assigned based on gender differentiation ("biological inequalities" ) ...and it sends the message that the fight is not about equality, but replacing a patriarchal social structure for a matriarchalMost " people are willing to conform to the norms of their environment...as social creatures..the thought of being treated as an exile has great influences..and for others..consequenc es work as a great motivator.. For example..within a culture that practice child brides...the mass will accept it as normal....outside of such...it is frowned upon..as an immoral (thus it is illegal) act (although we can find many private cases of violations to children)....Anoth er example..is during the Hurricane Katrina..when "the opportunity" presented itself..there were a number of rapes....Although rape is a crime..punishable by law and there is a social backlash for rapists.. still a number of opportunists overlooked the (moral) standard of the land (govern themselves by being responsible)..... In the end..it boils down to the moral codes of each individual...and since we're all intertwined...the decision made will (in) directly affect the survival rate of humanity.. Someone mention earlier about "gender selective abortion" ;ironic as it may....females are said to be aborted the most....which caused a shortage of available women in China...  (Feb 12, 2014 | post #3605)

That is one interesting twist....The fight for women's right to choice..and they are using it mostly to kill the female and birth more malesNo..what I meant was....traditional ly women and men were assigned roles within a culture based on their gender differences or "biological inequalities" ...something that has later became a problem for a number of women who saw it as unfair and injustices....The hypocritical part, imho..is that some are now using the same method to justify their own discrimination..  (Feb 12, 2014 | post #3604)

Morally? Most would probably agree.. Legally? Maybe..maybe not..as there are biological parents who give up their responsibility/rig hts all the time...making born children not legally entitled to financial support..and emotional support is always a choice..one cannot give..what is not thereGrowing number of people sign relationship contracts ....it's a very popular new trend..  (Feb 12, 2014 | post #3603)
