In depth: Rosendall's bribery scandal

What is it with these graduates from Forest Hills Public Schools...they sure are involved in a lot of scandals and have mansions in Alpine Township. This guy probably had a bunch of boats, too, just like that Michael Vorce guy. Yeah, right. Put this guy away for life, along with Vorce. And hey, Ken, glad to hear that you're not done asking questions of this guy. Too bad you didn't ask some people tough questions when you were a GR Press reporter!  (Feb 2, 2009 | post #12)

Calista snared by human mistakes

What people fail to realize (or care about) is that abuse and neglect is also happening to the elderly in Michigan nursing homes. Family members file complaints about the abuse and neglect with the State, and as usual, the abuse and neglect allegations are conveniently never substantiated. The State never talks to the family members who file the complaints, nor do they look at any of the evidence the family has collected. The State investigators just write down what the nursing home officials tell them to write. State and federal agencies that are supposed to protect the elderly in nursing homes also don't do anything, either. They just allow the abuse and neglect to continue until innocent lives are taken from us. Law enforcement agencies don't care about the elderly in nursing homes, either, which doesn't say much for them. The question our society as a whole needs to ask itself is why people care more about the rights and well-being of animals than they do about the rights and well-being of the elderly in nursing homes in this State and in this country.  (Jan 16, 2009 | post #26)

City manager search firms pricey

Just what we need - the GR City Commission and the Mayor wasting taxpayer dollars on search firms that we DON'T need! There are already talented, experienced folks who have expressed an interest in the top job at City Hall. Hire one of them. A note to WOOD TV8 - GR City Commissioner Walt Gutowski is from the First Ward, not the Second Ward.  (Jan 14, 2009 | post #2)

Look Who's Busted - resource or wrong?

I think a much better idea would be to publish a newspaper with pictures of all attorneys who didn't do what they said they were going to do!  (Dec 13, 2008 | post #50)
