Senate Bill SEA 18

I think your reasoning is selfish. I disagree with the state and feds, and I believe that Mississippi and New York still have the 21 age of emancipation. They also need to lower the drinking age to 18 if they feel that strongly about those 18 year olds being adults. I mean if we are going to set them up for failure lets just go all the way with it. I personally want more for my children, then to just say okay dude, ur 18so figure stuff out on your own. I mean isn't it in Americas best interest to have them be able to make the most amount of money that they can so they can pay more taxes. They won't be able to do that working at Walmart the rest of their lives. I still stand by my statement Children are more than just something you pay for. I still believe it is unfair to pass a law and have it go all the way back, if they needed to pass it, it should be starting now. I have spoke with some attorneys who believe it will be a constitutional issue. You seem to think that paying child support is a forced issue? That in its self is a poor opinion. So when you buy a car, do you feel forced to pay for it? We are talking about the future of our nation, unless of course you are of the mindset of a communist, and you want everyone to fail, and be uneducated. God help us all.  (Jul 21, 2012 | post #7)

I am talking about their educational values, i don't really care about if the Japanese pay for their children, that is not my issue. I am saying most of all that it is unfair to make a law, that takes away from something that was already settled 15 years ago in a court of law. My children work, but it because I have worked my ass off to make sure we have someway to get them there. Not everyone has that luxury, people say kids need to work, but when you live in a large area, and the transportation is not there, it makes it very difficult. I just feel the state of Indiana is going backwards, I will do what I do to take care of mine, but seriously if you feel that way about children, don't have any. Children are more than just someone you have to pay for.  (Jul 21, 2012 | post #5)

Wow I am glad I am not your child. America is so stupid, they preach about education, but do not look at the big picture. No wonder Japan kicks our ass in being smart. They get it. Plus I think it is just sad that people have to rely on the court system to tell them the amount to pay for the child. Why have them in the first place if your so incapable of responsibilty? I will be damned if I have to have someone tell me hey your kid needs x amount of dollars, I raised 6 kids I would move heaven and earth to make sure they are ok. Most people are selfish, obviously kickin someone to the curb just cause they are 18. Well I don't think they are adults, it is 21, that is when they can drink, if that is the case lower the age for drinking and let the kids run for president at that age, we would be better off. I think the bill was politically and money motivated and I think it is shady as hell. Of course it doesn't really matter what I think, but it is fun to get it out.  (Jul 19, 2012 | post #3)

State Senator to speak for Republican Club

I wonder how much money changed hands for the passing of senate bill 18, that changed the age from 21 to 19 for Indiana children. My daughter lost 26000.00 overnight because of these so called people that care about Indiana children. Pfft...give me a break, force them to get jobs, yep there is a ton of those to be had, my child works, all of my children did, force them to get an education, again, yeah, now we gotta use the ole legal system to take the people that don't give a rats azz anyway about these children, to make them pay for some of the education, when in all reality, they shouldn't have to have a court to tell them to support their kids anyways. I believe my child deserves her money, and anybody that says otherwise, needs to know the rest of the story. Any senator or house rep, needs to show me studies on how they arrive at this farce of a bill. This isn't over. These people that make up these bills go to bed in their nice little places, while my child loses money wtf.  (Jun 26, 2012 | post #3)
