Prove there's a god.

Man spends too much time contemplating whether there is a God or not. The bottom line, I believe, is that we can spend each waking moment trying to prove God exists or doesn't exist, but why? If we're putting that much time, thought, and effort into finding proof, it will be an endless search. From the direct evidence we have, itÂ’s not (yet) possible to prove a supreme God. Even if we could prove God's existence beyond a doubt, where would that put us as a society? My conclusion is that the answer is not simple. Would we all finally get along? Would we all finally see eye to eye? Would we all finally love each other? Would we all finally take care of others in their time of need? Would we all have the same political ideology? Would we all agree? Would we all finally cooperate? Would there be an end to war? Would we all finally bow down to worship God's supremacy, love, and righteousness? Proving God acknowledges God's supremacy and our lack thereof. Proving there is a God acknowledges that we are all God's instruments and creation. Proving there is a God acknowledges God's expectation of our obedience. So, if we could finally prove there is a God would we all truly be obedient? If it's finally proven that God exists would we truly be any better off than we are today on this planet we call Earth? If our answer is "no" then we need to stop wasting our time and losing sleep over the issue. Or, will we find that the more we try to forget about it, the more we can't put it to rest? Will we still find that we're eaten up inside? Will we conclude that we are not as in control of our conscience as we thought we could be? Will we find that we're tirelessly posing questions on forums to settle our insomniatic conscience? IMO, A better question to pose would pertain to proving the origins of conscience.  (Jan 18, 2015 | post #834940)

Haha! I guess you could say more curious than bored. I'm new to the area and topix was the site to check for discussions about local issues back home so figured I could do a search on Nashville's topix forum for a Bellevue Mall discussion. Voila! , I found an old post and thought I'd add to it to see If anyone might respond with helpful information.  (Dec 31, 2014 | post #4)

I'd like to know, too. It's such a nice area and has great potential revitalization.  (Dec 31, 2014 | post #2)

Springboro, OH

Area

Miamisburg is a convenient area if you need access to shopping and the interstate. Housing prices are very good, nice library park, cute downtown area with fun restaurants/bars, bike trail that travels along the river up to Dayton. There are pockets of poverty and pockets of prosperity, depending on where you live. Schools are pretty good and you have access to private and parochial schools, too.  (May 7, 2013 | post #2)

Is homosexuality a sin?

Homosexuality is not a sin unless we act on it. We are all sinful by nature. We all have urges to commit sin. It's acting out on the sin that is sinful.  (Apr 27, 2013 | post #87593)
