Dinosaur

T-Rex VS Deinosuchus

@Celestial emperor Fang, Phobosuchus also has a bite force estimated to be 11.5 tons. So even if it was smaller than Rex, at least we'll know it'll still snap Rex's leg with TONS of force left to spare, and that's what counts. Besides the bite force, crocodile have armor, and T rex can't flip over Phobosuchus without walking well within its range (of either tail or jaws), and T rex is very slow (slow enough to give Phobosuchus enough time to move its head or tail to counter.  (Mar 27, 2013 | post #474)

Dinosaur

T-Rex VS Deinosuchus

Long Bone doesn't work because Phobosuchus (formerly Deinosuchus western Population) has abnormally small legs for it's size, because it was more aquatic than modern crocodilians. You didn't think that 6' 8" head was easy to wield, did you? And what crocodilian were you scaling? A Gharial or Caiman? Try something robust like a Saltwater Crocodile or American Alligator, I'm sure you'll get different results.  (Mar 27, 2013 | post #473)

Evolution Debate

Should evolution be taught in high school?

Even if it was such a low chance, I found a new estimate: 1,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000 planets. That's 24 zeros. SO, you want the odds of life, according to your source, that's 1 in 1,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,00 0. According to YOUR odds, the chances repeat every year, so in the entire existence of the universe, there have been 13,770,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,0 00,000,000 chances for life in the universe. Talk about backfiring. Heck, even I was more skeptical than that! http://scienceblog s.com/startswithab ang/2013/01/05/how -many-planets-are- in-the-universe/  (Mar 27, 2013 | post #125651)

200,000,000 years is a long time, 200 million years ago Crocodiles were 100,000,000 years away, and the entire class of Aves had 50,000,000 years before it began. Just trying to be exact, the early Triassic was a dangerous time.  (Mar 27, 2013 | post #125640)

Was 911 an Inside Job

You could argue yes, actually (at least for WW II), because we heard MONTHS in advance they were planning the attack, then decided to ship out most of our anti-air equipment, and THEN scheduled an air-raid drill, so if there was an attack we wouldn't realize until people started getting blown up. That sounds like some pretty crappy planning, or an inside job. Take your pick (but I don't think US commanders were that stupid).  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #3415)

But a naturalistic pathway is very possible. Why would snakes and whales have hips? Why would Whales not have gills? Why do canid's and felines have the same number of toes, and why is the basic skeletal shape so similar in every mammal (skull, lower jaw in 2 pieces, ribs, spine, hips, femur, etc)? Why is there only one way everything sees? Did God get lazy? Why make 2 methods of flying, and everything from a Synapsid to a whale, to a human, to a mouse, and everything in between (literally, look up "transitional fossil). Was he bored and just screwing around? Or maybe, just maybe your story books aren't 100% the truth.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #125453)

New evidence suggests it was closer to 3,700,000,000 years of evolution, because 3.5 billion wasn't enough.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #125449)

You're right, the odd's are pretty low. But that's not taking into account all the planets out there! We don't have any numbers on the average number of planets per star, so just try counting (oops, I forgot who I was talking too). If the odd's are better than you might think, if it's one in 3x10^21, than there are probably about 9 other planets out there with life in the universe. But really, I doubt life is THAT rare, life as we assume it may be, but not microbes like bacteria require a lot less everything than Eukaryotic cells. For you're next rebuttal, let's try including ONE fact, not rationalizations, FACTS, like you are stupid, or dinosaurs weren't born yesterday.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #125447)

So you believe scientists don't report large carnivora scat with dino in it because they have a loyalty to their lack of religion? I don't believe most scientists are atheist, I believe they are agnostic, because the scientific method requires them to be objective. If I am to believe you, the Smithsonian, National Geographic, Harvard, and just about every scientific institution in the last 60 years has been telling us lies, again, in the name of their lack of religion. That was a decent avoidance tactic, I want an example of ANY mammal over 200 lb with dinosaur's in its dodo. I'm not asking for any carbon dating, no fossil layers. It's a very simple question really, but you provide a conspiracy theory instead of an actual answer, disappointing as usual.  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #125403)

Just wondering if anyone here wants to debate evolution, or are all the creationists too scared? I believe in evolution because there are no dinosaur bones/fossils in mammalian mega-fauna scat. Can you explain this, creationists?  (Mar 26, 2013 | post #125400)

I know I'm jumping into this without really any back ground (that isn't nearly a year old), but how does pluto being a planet have ANYTHING WHATSOEVER to do with evolution? And the answer is, well no. It's a subplanet, very, very close to being a planet, but technically no. And just so you don't twist this into something else, my answer is "no".  (Dec 18, 2011 | post #70014)

Biology is a broad term idiot, genetic or anatomical? Sorry, I should simplify those terms for you. Genes (not the ones you wear) or how they look? Genetically? Not much, they have patterns, which means only 1 gene needs to be changed to make a large change. Also, simply compare the 2, A toy dog, to a racing dog, to a guard dog.  (Dec 8, 2011 | post #81819)

God cannot be living if he created the universe, he created it inside different laws of physics. If he entered this universe who know's what'd happenIt is for those few sane people existing on this blue ballIf you made up a God, wouldn't you want to be "their image". People worship statue's. People would then worship youYou sound like a nerd "MY Pokemon is so awesome that no one can comprehend him, but he knows me" see what I mean here?  (Aug 18, 2011 | post #62613)
