Ocotomom getting welfare while I make what?

OKAY, PLEASE READ THIS AND TELL ME I'M WRONG: Octomom is in trouble. Again. The L.A. County Department of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation is investigating whether the mother of 14 may have committed welfare fraud, according to reports from both E! and TMZ. "I can confirm that the authorities have been in contact with us concerning her income and we have been cooperating," an unnamed source tells E! TMZ is reporting that a complaint was filed about Nadya Suleman collecting welfare benefits including food stamps, even though she made somewhere around $200,000 last year, doing her porn video and other publicity gigs. But under California law, she is only entitled to government assistance if she makes less than $119,000, reports E! If law enforcement brings a case, and Suleman is convicted, she risks going to jail for as many as three years. __________________ __________ I myself live on $6000 a year and do NOT collect welfare. Does anyone else see a problem here?  (Mar 21, 2013 | post #1)

Experiment started attempting to prove many reporters are...

An experiment has recently been started where a 39 year old disabled man with no education is attempting to prove the point that he can write a more professional news article than many of today's news writers who have years of education and training. Recently comments were made in connection with a number of news articles that were very poorly written that stated "I am a 39 year old disabled high school drop-out and I can write a better news story than this." Wanting to prove his point, the news blog Flash Of Insanity located at www.flashyourflash .com was created. After only two days of being published, the unique visitor count for the website jumped from only three unique visits to 295 unique visits the first day and 261 as of 9:48 pm EST the second day with more still coming in. What are your thoughts on this experiment? Do you think it would finally put some of those stuck up small time reporters in their place or is the whole thing just a waste of time?  (Dec 28, 2012 | post #1)

Do online scams increase during the Holiday Season?

Walk through any shopping mall or large department store parking lot alone this time of year and chances are you may get confronted by a scam artist. One of the most common scams during the Holidays is what is known as a Pigeon Drop scheme and a simple Google search will tell you all you need to know to protect yourself from these types of con artists. But what about online? Did you know that companies are running lead generating scams with the help of offering free virtual game credits in exchange for some personal information? Did you know that these companies can sell your information to other companies who then contact you non-stop trying to sell you all the things you have recently searched for on the internet? And this is just what the large companies are pulling on you. The mid range con artists are pulling the online pet scams for all those parents who are trying so hard and looking everywhere and anywhere to get the perfect pet for their child this Holiday. The victims send payment for a pet, sometimes sight unseen, and send shipping fees, personal information and pretty much anything else these scumbags decide to get from you. And all this in exchange for the promise that the perfect pet will be shipped to your local airport just in time for the Holiday. The sad news is that there is no pet, and some flim-flam-man just made off with everything you supplied. And you are left holding an email that can't be tracked that says your pet died in transit and there are no refunds. What other types of scams have you noticed an increase in this time of year?  (Dec 18, 2012 | post #1)
