Well, let me come down on the other side for a minute. I have the responsibility right now, to help teach 16-18 year old young men. These guys are amazing. I teach solid, deep doctrine, challenge them with differences between our world and the outside world, understanding that by this time in their lives they already have had (and continue to have) personal religious experiences that continue to build their testimony of the Restored Gospel. It's not mind control. It's not something it's not. What it is is me as a leader, helping them learn and remember something they already know. It's amazing, the personal strength some of these young men have. I wish you could see it. (8 hrs ago | post #2826)

Alright Dorothy, (We are not in Oz anymore--LOL) Why do you say the members are brainwashed? Middle ages? I don't quite get the reference. What do you speak of? (15 hrs ago | post #2824)

Maybe primary children are taught superficial pieces and maybe new converts before they are baptized, but if a member thinks this is anything close to the gospel of Jesus Christ, they will sway with every wind of change. Gospel doctrine is much MUCH deeper than that. If someone is willing to give their life and all they own for the gospel, don't you think they will have examined it more thoroughly than that? Perhaps not in a few cases. But normally, if you have someone like myself, that is comfortable with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and not afraid of speaking it throughout the world, no matter the audience, don't you think we have examined it closer than that? I called you an a** but also called myself one, because a person that calls one person cannot also excuse himself from the moniker. But perhaps I wasn't clear on that, because it was hidden in the back end of a sentence and you have a tendency not to read all the way through things. SO by the same logic, I am letting you call yourself all the names you have called us. I am letting you have the other side of the sword. I am letting you have the jerk that you have been. If you want to be treated with respect, respect others. But I know that isn't in your vocabulary. You are not Christian. Peace. (15 hrs ago | post #16411)

The only piece that I am out of line is that I have spent hours trying to talk to you patiently. You do not, and never will, understand. And you are an a**. I am not calling names. I am simply stating a fact. Today, it takes one to know one, so I am too. (19 hrs ago | post #16406)

CIB you are free to live in your fantasy world. I have mine, you have yours. I don't really care what you believe. Furthermore, I don't care if you don't like what I believe. I am tired from a long day's work, and you are an a**. Shut up. Have a good day. (20 hrs ago | post #16402)

Unfortunately, many people die or kill someone needlessly before coming to the same conclusion as you. How are doing, friend? (Yesterday | post #2820)

Honestly, how can you say that? Truthfully, without any agenda, look at them again. If they don't say that very clearly, what DO they say? This is what the Master said about people having eyes and still would not see... (Yesterday | post #16389)

Beautiful, although we disagree, that was beautiful. No further comment is necessary from me at this time. (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #2816)

CIB, you have the truth in front of you. You have had it explained over and over and you refuse to see it. Your very words testify to your blindness. May you find peace in your life and develop a love for your fellow man--because your words show some pretty serious deficits...either in your thought processes or your self-image. I hope you have a nice week. (Sunday Nov 29 | post #16162)

OK. I can see how the following: Anglican Church in Central America Anglican Church of Australia Anglican Church of Burundi Anglican Church of Canada Anglican Church of Kenya Anglican Church of Korea Anglican Church of Mexico Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea Anglican Church of Southern Africa Anglican Church of Tanzania Anglican Church of the Southern Cone of America Are all theologically the same. Like I said, I only culled a few. But look at the following: Christian Baptist Church of God Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. Church of God (Anderson) Church of God (Guthrie, Oklahoma) Church of God (Holiness) Church of God (Restoration) Churches of God General Conference (Winebrenner) Church of the Nazarene Evangelical Free Church of America Harmony Society Missionary Church Salvation Army United Christian Church Wesleyan Church Alliance of Baptists American Baptist Association American Baptist Churches USA Association of Grace Baptist Churches Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America Association of Regular Baptist Churches Baptist Bible Fellowship International EVERY ONE of these churches believes different doctrine. Not a huge difference, to be sure, but they point is they get their doctrine from the SAME TEXTBOOK (the Bible) and if it was "inerrant " it would not point people in different directions!!! What have you been smoking, pal??? My list has everything from Southern Baptists to Moonies, with a few Baptists, Episcopalians, and Bretheren etc thrown in. Even some white Supremacists! (they SAY they have a Church or three). They IN NO WAY agree on the "Nature of God" as you say. Every Single one of these churches, with the exception, as you said of the same church in different countries which I didn't take time to cull all the non American ones...but every major church and quite a few minor churches are divided my doctrine! EVERY ONE. Otherwise, why not join together? So IF the five hundred or so churches on my list each follow the Bible, and SAY they follow the Bible, and use the Bible as source material to show they believe what they believe, How can you say the Bible is "inerrant? " Silliest thing I've ever heard. The proof is right there in front of you! OF COURSE there needed to be a restoration. Duh! Disagree all you want with the doctrine. You can even say we aren't the RIGHT restoration, if you'd like. But there is very good reason, (and YOU are one of the main poster children for the problem) that a restoration was needed.
