Ex-sheriff pleads guilty to forgery

Sounds like a well rounded family. Sheriff with 183 guns for who knows what purpose and daughter in law giving out oral treats to the inmates.  (Feb 13, 2008 | post #12)

Programs are ready to help pay heating bills

There is a weatherization program for individuals that have leaky houses. Community action people are the ones to contact. They will send someone out and see what is needed to cut some of the drafts. And lot of times will add insulation to the actic and sidewalls. This is a good program and everyone that is eligible should take adventage of it. Even if you dont qualify call a company that specializes in this. It will make a big difference.  (Jan 3, 2008 | post #42)

Smokers still puffing away at airport despite new ban

As a non smoker I think people who do smoke should have a place to smoke at the airport. Maybe a lounge with good ventilation.  (Jan 1, 2008 | post #36)

Conviction overturned in dragging death

This is just so stupid. Here we have a murderer that gets off scott free. Due to something that wasnt said in court. What a bunch of crap. I cant even get out of a ticket for not wearing a damm seatbelt.  (Dec 28, 2007 | post #17)

Woman gets 9 years in scalding case

I think 9 years is too lenient for a terrible crime such as this. I cant even imagine doing that to someone, no matter what their age. The child will be scarred for life.  (Dec 28, 2007 | post #6)

Federal prison guard charged with theft

That seems like a lot of money for being for recreational uses for the guard staff. Its not like they are going to be living there and need a pass time on their time off. They live off of the prison grounds and can get their entertainment like everyone else. And giving this guy a pass on lockup seems to be common if it involves a public employee. Two in the paper in one day.  (Dec 28, 2007 | post #18)

Yellow perch may lift state fish-farming

The only trouble I remember with perch is the numerous small bones. The taste is also not one that I care about as much as other fishes. But I hope it is a success in Indiana.  (Dec 28, 2007 | post #14)

3-year-old girl dies after beating

This just makes me sick and seems to be happening often. I wish I could take these kids and give them a good home. This hoot fellow should get all that is coming to him.  (Dec 24, 2007 | post #122)

Bayh backs alien smuggling measure

Why do you people keep electing bayh. He is just another example of dumbocrat liberals. Give away the country to get votes for the party. Bayh will not return your call, email or letter. Not even with a form letter tooting his own horn. He is one worthless politician among many.  (Dec 13, 2007 | post #26)

Governor orders budget cutbacks

Still too much waste in government. The downsizing is needed. Cut spending is another. I dont think 5% is enough, why not 10 %?. I can see waste in Avon and I dont even go digging.  (Dec 13, 2007 | post #66)

Off-duty cop shoots self in foot

This is not the first instance that Ive heard of a cops shooting himself in the foot. It happened to a Brownsburg cop several years ago. Think his name was Officer Stump. Im sure there has been others.  (Dec 13, 2007 | post #110)
