Roderick Scott talks, says he regrets shooting

Staying inside and calling the police is what the average respectable person would do but there are those that go above and beyond the duties of the AVERAGE person. Scott appears to be one of those people. It is certainly tragic that a young man lost his life but crime often leads to tragic results. It almost always works the other way around though with a innocent being murdered at the hands of a criminal. People self-defense is self-defense. Standing by and watching is the first phase of a neighborhood losing itself to crime. Odds are that this neighborhood will see a tremendous reduction in the amount of crime that is perpetrated on it and it will be due to this very unfortunate killing of this teenager.  (Jul 22, 2013 | post #78)

Gun Laws - Keyport, NJ

How do you do that? How do you get the illegal guns off the street? I have at least one suggestion, start by prosecuting every legal gun owner that DOES NOT successfully lock their weapons away from all but those with the determined intent. If an average someone can walk into your house and steal or use your weapons within a few minutes, then how truly secure is the weapon? If firearms are much more difficult to steal then criminals will have to choose to find weapons by other means, which will likely lead to fewer criminals with firearms and more arrests.  (Mar 15, 2013 | post #4)

Gun Laws - Tampa, FL

Simpler answer is NO but a more complete answer would be that gun owners than DO NOT properly secure their firearms, and those firearms are used in the commission of a crime, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.  (Mar 15, 2013 | post #2)
