Don’t get me wrong here, I love the city of Syracuse, New York. I was born in New York State, and have many relatives who live in the Syracuse area, and I went to the great New York State Fair every year as a kid in Syracuse. But the recent announcement that Syracuse University and the University of Pittsburgh have applied to be members of the ACC Conference, makes me wonder why the ACC would want Syracuse. Hurricane Irene Will Shatter Records in New York and Phil...

Residents of the Philadelphia and New York City areas, like myself, are just getting over the surprise of feeling the massive tremors that shook our area as a result of the 5.8 magnitude earthquake that hit central Virginia on August 23, 2011. Now we have to deal with the massive Hurricane Irene that is bearing down on us. A hurricane that is going to shatter the monthly rainfall records in both New York and Philadelphia. Carlos Beltran Trade Signals Giants Care About Fans While...

The trade of Carlos Beltran from the New York Mets to the San Francisco Giants for minor league pitcher Zach Wheeler shows in spades how the two baseball clubs think of their fans. The Giants are telling their fans that they care, and that they are trying to win another World Series. The Mets are signaling to their fans that they could care less about them, and the team is more interested in saving money than they are about winning. http://www.associa tedcontent.com/art icle/8268439/carlo s_beltran_trade_si gnals_giants.html? cat=37  (Jul 28, 2011 | post #1)

Mark Haines Cause of Death Released

There isn't one person on CNBC during the day that people would tune in to watch without the ticker and prices flashing by. Erin Burnett was easily the worst of the bunch. Don't give me generalities, give me one example of something she said while at CNBC that was worth remembering. Just because you liked her flirting with an older guy means nothing. That's TV BS designed to lure and keep you tuned in, and has nothing to do with knowledge.  (Jun 24, 2011 | post #3)
