Hagerstown Regional Airport announces new flight service

It really depends on what you are going to Orlando for. If you are planning on visiting Disney/Universal/ or the attraction side of town, 35-45 miles. If you plan on venturing further north into downtown Orlando and beyond, they you'll hit the 60 mile range.  (Apr 8, 2011 | post #19)

Sculpture Finds Acceptance

LOL!!!!!!! I consider myself a connoisseur of art but that sculpture has to be the most out of place thing in Lakeland and that says a lot.  (Aug 7, 2010 | post #3)

Winter Haven, FL

Lego fever: Crowds gather to hear details of Legoland Flo...

I remember as I attended both CW and B&B when i was growing up. Both halfway decent parks in the middle of nowhere and yes, US 27 back in the 80's/90's was the middle of nowhere. Only time will tell if the park will succeed or fail. If it weren't for the 2004 hurricanes, Kent Buescher (sp) might still be the owner of an operating Cypress Gardens that was turning a profit. I will say that it certainly helps that a company has the financial backing to actually invest in the area's infrastructure as well as the park. The plans are very aggressive for Winter Haven but I think it could work. I think it's too bad that the Central Polk Parkway is still light years away. Direct traffic from I-4 bypassing 27 from the east would help.  (Aug 7, 2010 | post #2)

You're welcome. I took those about 6 years ago when i was down for my father's funeral. Helped take my mind off the current situation.  (Aug 7, 2010 | post #4)
