Local Arrests

Well I just read the paper and I will just pray for all involved and that the truth comes out. I think I have heard some speculation. Who knows?  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #8)

Local Arrests

Actually,Indeed to read the Prentiss Headlight. I hear it will go before the grand jury. I heard the agriculture depth has a hotline for anyone else this happened to. A very reliable friend said these people's land was just taken before the 3years was up. I also heard this is the tip of the iceberg.  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #7)

Actually the buyer buys the chance for taxes due and if the taxes are not redeemed or paid up at the tax assessor within 3 years it is the one who paid the taxes.  (Jan 14, 2013 | post #6)

Pettion to Recall Ike Haynes

ACCORDING to Haynes on the front page of the Prentiss Headlight,we are long overdue on our accreditation. How did Jeff Davis lose their accreditation.?It must be important or Haynes wouldn't care.  (Aug 19, 2012 | post #65)

School Board Meeting

Those parents do not have to sign a contract. Education is what Haynes sad the teachers are paid to do. What will he do if the parents break a contract? Stand them in a corner. I Heard Haynes will not let parents talk at board meetings without a number.  (Jul 10, 2012 | post #6)

I think you are right about what successful means. I think department of education could explain it or a website. I think it is like a Grade C. I think it is above failing, almost failing and academic watch. They are above where they were if the tests were given correctly.  (Jun 3, 2012 | post #46)

What consultants does the school district have? Is that Mr.Haynes' choice or a requirement because the school was under conservatorship? Wasn't the district failing or at risk of failing? Did he get let go by the school board years ago? Was he up at Rolling Fork one year? I imagine Mr.Haynes will be superintendent until he wants to leave. I hear tell a lot of his family works for him.  (Jun 2, 2012 | post #44)

I just don't understand this town.

Prentiss has problems like anywhere else. We do have leadership that cares. Prentiss also has a lot of nice, caring people. A lot are even in shape. Prentiss has a fitness center with a fitness center. Several small towns have the same problem of attracting businesses. I think the ratio of getting a business is 1 yes response to 400 tries. Prentiss competes with Sumrall which had a far better public school.  (Jun 1, 2012 | post #12)

First off get a superintendent that is as good ad Dennis Fortenberry and keep the good board members. There are about two on there. Did Mr. Haynes accept the new job or is he going to stay here for his old salary plus the increase the board will give him to stay?  (Jun 1, 2012 | post #43)
