Why is Tim's name not on the entry list?

7th place (8th top 10 in his 10 races for Red Horse Racing), nice run for a team that was really struggling for most of the weekend. It's a good thing that the leaders were all getting really aggressive at the end, because it enabled Timothy to pass a bunch of wrecked trucks. Now he's up to 8th in the points standings, and has an outside chance of getting to the top 5 in points! Praise the Lord for giving Timothy a chance to prove himself, and letting him do a remarkable job of doing so. Also, there was a great section about Timothy in the Setup pre-race show. I have the race saved on my TiVo box, and I can record it for anybody who missed it, if you want me to. Great to see that people are noticing the roll that he has been on. Congratulations to the team for having another good run, and doing such a great job over the past few weeks!  (Sep 12, 2009 | post #347)

Just watched the race yesterday, and I think he lost those spots just because his truck wasn't very good in traffic. To be honest, he really didn't have a top 5 truck, IMO, but Chad used great pit strategy to get him there. He could have easily had a top 5 if there weren't so many late cautions, causing the field to bunch back up and make his truck loose.  (Sep 1, 2009 | post #346)

10th place, not bad. Timothy's getting better at having his bad luck. He, of course, had more bad luck by cutting a right front tire down while running 5th late in the race, but he cut it down at the same time Norm Benning wrecked, so he got to change it under yellow and stay on the lead lap. His truck had fresh tires and was good enough to move back into 10th place. I thought that was a great pit call by Chad to not take tires, and it almost worked out (running 5th with 28 to go), but the tire went down, unfortunately. He's still 13th in points, but he's got good tracks coming up, and he's 60 points out of 7th place, and he's got the momentum. Great job by everybody tonight.  (Aug 19, 2009 | post #343)

Dang, I thought Peters was gonna be a threat for the win (I knew Nashville was going to be one of his best chances), but Hornaday was just too good (and that bonzai move that he did after that one restart didn't help things either). Should have finished 2nd, he was better than Brian Scott most of the day and right on his bumper before the final caution flag came out, and Braun was never anywhere near the top 5, but he just got by on the last lap. I hate to be greedy, though, because he did win the pole, didn't have any bad luck, ran the full race (no rain), and got another top 5. Especially after realizing that just over a year ago that it seemed like he wasn't going to be racing in the sport again, and now here he is getting top 5 finishes. I still think he'll get a win this year, most likely at Bristol or Martinsville. Congratulations and great job to everybody, awesome weekend!  (Aug 2, 2009 | post #341)

8th quickest in first practice, 4th quickest in Happy Hour. Weather should be good for tomorrow for qualifying and the race. I dunno, I hate to jinx him, but I've been praying for Timothy and his team, and I smell a win coming his way tomorrow night.  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #337)

Turns out he was slow at ORP because he collided with another truck on pit road (don't know who), and it knocked out the toe on the truck. That's why he ended up finishing 17th.  (Jul 29, 2009 | post #333)

Oh boy, they're bringing the same truck from Michigan and Kentucky. That truck was a ROCKET, and I think he poses a serious threat to win the race.  (Jul 29, 2009 | post #331)

I think it will be if they bring the same truck from Michigan and Kentucky. If they bring the evil truck from Milwaukee and ORP, then maybe not so much. I hope they don't take that truck to Bristol (but they probably will).  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #330)

Look at the bright side - Nashville coming up next Saturday, followed by Bristol a couple weeks later.  (Jul 24, 2009 | post #328)

That truck must have been a monster. He dropped back pretty far, and then they made a strategy call to get him back in the top 5. Then he went a lap down for a little while there, and ended up finishing 17th. Oh well, can't have it all, I guess.  (Jul 24, 2009 | post #327)

Forgot to mention how great that save was that he made late in the race when Tayler Malsam cut him off. Congratulations to Timothy and his team on such an awesome race and a career run!  (Jul 19, 2009 | post #323)

Wow, I was just looking at the loop scoring reports and he was THE fastest truck on the race track the whole night.  (Jul 18, 2009 | post #322)

Wow, I just finished watching that race, and I'm still catching my breath! That race was exciting and awesome! He made a lot of good aggressive moves on the track, and made lots of passes, and was a major factor in the race. I think he could have won the race if it he had a little bit better track position and everybody didn't try to wreck him. He was running 2nd early in the race, and was closing on Tayler Malsam when he was leading, but then the yellow came out when Yeley wrecked, and Malsam had that lousy restart, causing Timothy to lose more track position. But he stayed in the top 5, making lots of 3 wide moves and passes. Then he lost his top 5 spot on the race track when Ron Hornaday tried to wreck him on that restart. Then Malsam cut him off late in the race and gave him right front fender damage, causing him to be aero tight near the end. Still, a career best finish for him (and at a cookie-cutter track, no less), so I'm extremely happy with that! I think he will be a force to be reckoned with from here on out. He should be a threat to win at Nashville, Bristol, and after seeing him run this well at what is normally one of his weakest tracks, maybe anywhere.  (Jul 18, 2009 | post #321)
