iran= nazi germany

And let's not forget who put the twenty-one year old Shah on the throne ---- the British and U.S. covertly overthrew the democraticaly elected government of Iran to do so. Why?? because Iran wanted to control it's own oil profits instead the UK. What has happened to investigative journalism??  (Sep 24, 2007 | post #8)

Christian Wars?

And lets not forget that on their journey to the Holy Lands over many months, the "Crusaders " killed, raped and pillaged the citizens of the villages along the way. Was this also sanctioned by the Pope?  (Sep 24, 2007 | post #113)

Ron Paul - A True Patriot

Ron Paul is a candidate that I could certainly vote for. We all respect individuals who don't spout double-tald like so many of the front-runners in politics. Ron Paul lags back there in the pack, but I'd like the opinion of others as to what are his chances of being elected if he ran as a third party candidate under "constitution " or "libertarian " party??  (Jul 15, 2007 | post #2)

AK47 vs. M16

I've never been to Camp Perry ---- just visit my local gun club for recreational shooting and to polish what few skills I have. Had interest in the SASS (single-action shooting society) Cowboy matches a couple of years ago --- lots of fun, and allows an individual to become quite skillful with shotgun, rifle and S A pistols. It's a timed plus accuracy event ---- very safety oriented, and lots of commraderie.  (Jul 12, 2007 | post #31)

By 2050 America Will be a 3rd World Country

I see your reasoning, but isn't our form of government sympathetic to greed? It's human nature to always want more than enough. I don't know if Capitalism and Democracy go hand in hand? Corporate greed, and individual greed is the same thing. Years ago, my cousin belonged to a union and made $20 an hour compared to my $6 an hour. He seemed to be on strike every couple of years, yet we both paid the same for a loaf of bread. If our principles dictate that Capitalism is OK, then why complain when corporations go outside the country for cheaper help, resulting in higher profits?  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #4)

AK47 vs. M16

Ten-four on that! The refinements to the Colt have put it above the Garand or M-16 for accuracy at Camp Perry competition.  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #11)

Precisely!! That's why I say: Too many followers, and not enough good leaders. QUESTION AUTHORITY!!  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #175)

AK47 vs. M16

Shot placement is more important than spraying the whole area with ammo. The Afghans kicked Russia out of Afghanistan with antiquated bolt-action rifles (and maybe some help from USA providing shoulder-fired missles to bring down aircraft)  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #7)

AK47 vs. M16

Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either one of them. The AK has a 125 grain bullet compared to the M-16 (about half the weight --- about 55 grains) The M-16 may have the edge on accuracy, however it is said that the AK functions better in adverse conditions, and not subject to jamming.  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #6)

Iraq

Florida woman killed in Iraq war, according to Pentagon

If going to war, and blindly following orders because the president ordered it, is patriotic, then it must have been equally patriotic for German troops to invade Poland under Hitlers' orders. I would guess that some of the German people didn't support the war, but of course, they supported their sons who did the invading. Our adversaries are not against us because of our way of life, or because we are supposedly a Christian nation. It's because we occupy thier country, and we're kicking-in their doors, and their families face down on the floor. Would each one of us not seek revenge if the same attrocities were purperated upon us. They are going after countries that send occupiers and those that meddle into the affairs of the region. We are covertly trying to overthrow the leaders of Iran. We did that in 1953 when we installed the Shah. What would our reaction be for the same action? There are plenty of Christian and democratic countries similar to ours who are not being attacked. Those who blindly follow orders are foolish, if not stupid. QUESTION AUTHORITY!!!  (Jul 11, 2007 | post #102)
