Police: Teen shot while attempting robbery

This is the kind of news we could stand a lot more of. It is a shame that someone had to lose their life, but he made that choice, not the shooter.  (Jul 9, 2009 | post #3)

Sorry about the misspelling of your name. I've been doing that all day long. I enjoyed the picnic and getting to see everyone again. I had to go get my car cleaned out where HTV got sick in it. It smells a lot fresher, now.  (Jun 29, 2009 | post #37461)

Good Morning, everyone! Guess I'll be seeing some of you in a few hours. I have to go pick up HotTangyVomit and give him a ride from 5 Points to the picnic. I just hope he doesn't get sick in my car. Poor guy gets car sick a lot, I am told.  (Jun 28, 2009 | post #37441)

Prosecutor: No charges in shooting of NJ man at AA club

This is as it should be. I thought the man was fully cleared not long after this happened. Anyway, they made a good decision in clearing him and giving him his gun back. He made life safer for all of us by his actions.  (Jun 14, 2009 | post #2)

No problem. I kept running into people I knew where I was and didn't get a chance to try again until after 11PM that night. I decided it was too late to call back by then. Man, It's quiet on here, today. I went and snoozed a few before coming back on here and no one's been on.  (May 2, 2009 | post #36873)

I was talking to you and the call dropped. I tried to call you back and it wouldn't go through, not even ring.  (May 2, 2009 | post #36871)

"I Felt I Had Two Choices: Get Robbed and Killed, Or Do What I ...

I don't understand the idea that because the most the bad guy might have yielded from robbing the place would have been a couple of hundred dollars, that the defender should have just let him rob them and go. IMHO, that makes no sense at all. Times are hard and people work hard to get what they have. I, for one, am not willing to give it up to some POS who decides that he want so stick a gun in my face and take it. To do this is to encourage crime and criminals and increase the incidences of this type of activity. Also, when ANY stranger, who obviously does not have my best interests as his priority, points a gun at me, I take that as a serious threat to my safety. Crooks and street thugs rarely have any concept of gun safety and are very likely to do something stupid that could result in an accidental discharge. Whether they "mean" to do it or not, if I am disabled, paralyzed, or killed, it is just as serious as if he meant to do it. If someone points a gun at me and I see an opening, as did the defender here, I will take it. There is no way of knowing how many he did this to before, if any, but you can bank on him doing it again, and again, to others if this venture had been successful. This was one more criminal career cut short before it had a chance to be as harmful as it could be.  (Apr 17, 2009 | post #7)
